The atmosphere in the grand office shifted as Mr. Chen turned his attention fully to the uninvited guest. His eyes, sharp as blades, narrowed in annoyance as he folded his hands atop the mahogany desk. The glint of irritation was unmistakable.

"Would you die if you knock?" he asked dryly, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife.

The man who had entered unannounced, now known as Gabi, only chuckled.

There was an effortless audacity in the way he carried himself, lounging back in the chair he had commandeered, his legs crossed and propped carelessly on the edge of the pristine desk.

He didn't respond to the rhetorical question, choosing instead to turn his attention to the other occupant in the room: Ms. Lin.

She was a striking young woman, her petite frame draped in an elegant silk dress that shimmered in the soft lighting.

Her sharp glare at Gabi's intrusion was meant to convey indignation, but Gabi found it only added to his amusement.
