"Your father has never invited us for such events. You must be on your best behavior." Lilian fixed her twelve-year-old daughter's dress and spoke attentively. "I have waited for this day for so long. It's just a pity it had come too late."
Her fifteen-year-old son fixed his tie and glanced at his mother and two younger siblings. "It's simply a matter of patience, mom." Lilian smiled at her eldest son with a proud look on her face. He was right. She didn't wait this long for no reason. Her children's father was only making life comfortable for them. Besides, this wait had allowed her to train her children to their full potential, especially her son who could never amount to the other woman's son.
"You're right, Markus." She picked up her youngest son and held onto her daughter's hand. "Come on. Your father must be waiting."
Her grin was wide and full of determination. Today, she was going to show the world who the legitimate wife was.
