Chapter 6 - Charming the goddess

Arlo looked at the screen with confusion.

"What is the Lust system?" he asked out loud.

"It's the way Lust will guide you when you're back in your world," Azelia's voice said from a corner of the room.

He jumped, not realizing anyone else was there.

He glanced around. He was in the same room where he'd woken up earlier.

The seven deadly sins were nowhere to be found.

"I… I didn't know you were there," he stuttered.

"Of course you didn't," she replied in that same rude tone. "Lust gave you his essence, so now you have his system guiding you. It will tell you what you can do and what you need to do to help Lust grow stronger."

The screen flashed again.

{Here's your profile}

{Level: 1}

{Skill: charisma}

{Mission: none}

{Daily task: none}

Arlo stared at the screen. "It says I have the skill of charisma. What does that mean?" he asked.

"It means when you activate it, you can make people do what you want," she replied.

He looked at the system in surprise. "Anybody? Including gods too?"

"Yes," she replied. "Anybody."

A bright idea flashed in Arlo's mind just then. He looked at Azelia, noticing how beautiful she looked in her scanty clothes. He remembered how mean she'd been to him for no reason.

"How do you activate it?" he asked.

Azelia shrugged. "I don't know."

Arlo glanced back at the screen and decided it wouldn't hurt to ask.

"How do I activate charisma?" he asked aloud.

The screen flashed.

{Charisma activated, duration: 10 minutes}

So that was it—just saying "activate charisma" was enough. He stored the information at the back of his mind.

Also, apparently the skill only lasted for ten minutes after which, the person would regain their free will.

Arlo looked at Azelia, who stood by the corner of the room, her face full of disdain and annoyance. Deciding to test out the skill, he spoke, "Come."

Azelia looked at him and frowned. "Why would I do that?" she asked. Arlo sighed.

The skill didn't seem to work on her. He wondered if it worked at all or if he'd done it wrong. He glanced down in disappointment.

Then Azelia gasped. Arlo looked up to see her struggling with herself, taking hesitant steps forward as she fought against it, but unsuccessfully.

"What did you do to me?" she cried out as her body moved toward him, slow but inevitable. Realization dawned on her, and her gaze turned murderous.

"You used your charisma on me," she said in a dark tone. "I swear I will kill you."
