Ever since the Gods abandoned the Earth the world fell into Chaos, rift's appeared all over planet earth and we were under attack by our own fantasies creatures of the night unfathomable beings and the air was contaminated with the mana falling out of the rift's, creating dungeons, the Humans left started encountering changes in their bodies they felt refreshed,it was a strange feeling and since that day the humans started possessing something called mana and they could harness this energy at 16 years of age only once you pass that age and you haven't awakened as they like to say it,it means you are a dud according to their naming sense. by the year 2039 the world was no more disame and all the countries where no more all that exist was realms and each realm had different regions and those regions where occupied by beings with humanoid shapes the realms was divided by two living and undead but the undead uses the term planes as their home not realms and each had their region's the undead consists of.

I was born a human living in the outskirts of Geralth close to the border of the undead planes the village was small and peaceful It was the day before I will be taken to the awakening center to become an awakened when the border was attacked by a group of vampires we tried evacuating the village but it was too late for they massacred everyone in the village remaining me and my mom I never knew my dad my mom told me to run (Ray run to the church Maria screamed), but my legs could not respond a female vampire commented at the sight of my mom crumbling in fear I watched her tore my mother's limbs in two and turned away like it was nothing I felt fear, sadness and anger at the same time I decided to make a final attempt to attack and get killed so I could reunite with my mom I dashed off towards her with the little strength left in me with a faint battle cry when I got close I leapt unto her arm and before I knew what was happening I was tossed out of the village into the undead planes and I felt my bones crushed I was in a great pain but when I tasted my mouth something was in it and it was a little part of her skin I smiled like a maniac and said make sure you remember before I could complete my sentence i felt a burning sensation on my tongue and more pains erected into my brain making scream in agony i felt my bones grinding and rearranging by themselves I felt my consciousness fading away and before I knew what was happening to me I passed out cold on the dark planes with no sort of protection.
