Chapter 1 - | Failure in success

It was a strange night; the sky shimmered with stars, their light casting down reddish lights.

The stars are colliding as specks of light expand, slowly engulfing the dark eerie night, it was a majestic sight, a cosmic spectacle that seems to distort the fabric of space.

The mountains were contracting, while every kind of creature was escaping from the forest as the earth slowly succumbed to chaos.

"How did it turn to this...?" A mysterious man embracing a body said, his voice barely escaping his lips.

The pale body that he held was his disciple which he wholeheartedly raised for his grand ambition.

Who would have thought that on the very day of his grand plan, a mysterious man would assault them causing slaughter?

He stood up, his gaze slowly turning behind—a bloodshed.

Houses were put in ruins, and the whole land was engulfed in a sea of fire.

"Why...?" He asked his gaze longing at the sky, a figure floating in the air, wearing an indifferent expression.

His robe fluttered with the wind with hands that were blemished of blood, if one did not witness what it had done, they would think that this man is a savior.

The man wore a mask but his eyes were unfathomably deep, like the abyss.

Then...

The fragment of space tore as two sword slashes traveled like raging tides.

"AHH Stop!" the mysterious man tried to speak but before the voice even formed he was sliced in half—dead.

"Finally dead, huh...," he muttered.

His gaze turned at the sky, a relief and longing on his voice.

"I finally did it... after so long..."

The stars were colliding along with the heaven and earth, he knew—the world was ending.

"I succeeded... yet I feel empty."

He laughed bitterly before sighing, "What have I been doing all this time...?"

A fragment of star fell before his vision, like a meteor approaching his body at terrifying speed interrupting his trail of thoughts.

He quickly sheathed his sword as a mystical force slowly enveloped his body seemingly trying to protect him from the massive flare of the falling fragment, he sighed as he closed his eyes.

"If there's another chance... I... would like to live the opposite way I have."

Boom!

Countless lumps of fire fell on the group creating a majestic sight that hides away a terrible destruction.

His sword was unsheathed in a speed unobservable to eyes.

A horrifying power enveloped the whole sky.

The sky was cut in half, like a prologue darkness slowly enveloped his figure, engulfing him whole.

...

After some time he found himself in an eerie void.

A vast space that seemed to be separated from the world.

In this space, voices echoed assaulting his ears.

He opened his eyes but saw nothing—nothing but darkness.

"It's dark..." He whispered before adding, "Is this afterlife... ha haha...?"
