Even though the words were low, it carries weight and actually very threatening. The smirk dropped from Jesse's lips immediately and he titled his chin defiantly. When Jesse had to speak again, his voice had lost most of the earlier confidence that it had.
"Those days are long gone Liam, you've got nothing on me, perhaps you're not even a saint. So 8 do not understand how you have gotten the balls to threaten me." Jesse replied.
There was great intensity between them as they stared down at each other, neither of them backing down and it was only when Charlotte approached them that they both backed down.
