With Rei barely holding onto her sanity, and the other Runaways preparing for the final phase of their plan, Aoi faces her toughest decision yet. Using the master code, she can take down the entire network of experiments, but there's no telling how many lives will be affected. Some subjects, like Rei, may never fully recover from the mental control. And then, there's the possibility that even her supposed freedom has been just another layer of control — a test within a test. In a final act of defiance, Aoi enters the master code into the system. As the world begins to collapse around her, she braces for the unknown, unsure if she is freeing herself and the others or walking into yet another experiment. The screen fades to black with one final message flashing before her eyes: "RunAway complete. Phase III: Initiating."
