"Hm… Aether, what's on our agenda today?" Matthew asked, looking out his bedroom window as he petted Luf, his cat, who was purring contentedly in his arms.
"We've completed our plans for the week, sir." Aether, the AI, projected herself next to him and replied. "Also, new data from the NeuroPlay gaming team shows that our two games are enjoying high acceptance, both on mobile and desktop. Based on recent information, the beta, which was scheduled to end in half a month, has been brought forward by three days, as the game is bug-free and player appeal is high after influencer streams."
"Okay, give the NeuroPlay team a raise. They've worked hard on these two games this year." Matthew nodded thoughtfully.
"The NeuroSys team has also done a great job on the AI projects. Would you like to include a pay raise for them as well?" Aether suggested, analyzing the situation.
"Yes, Aether," Matthew sighed, reflecting. "Time flies. It's been a year already… I still remember the beginning of the company."
"I'll schedule an appointment at the community golf club for this afternoon. It seems like the perfect day to relax a bit," he murmured, heading to the closet to change.
Luf meowed loudly, jumped out of his arms, and ran to the kitchen.
"Take care of him, Aether. He has these tantrums," Matthew commented, chuckling with slight frustration as he watched his cat.
A few hours later, Matthew arrived at the golf club, enjoying the tranquility of the environment. The green field stretched out under the clear sky, and the gentle breeze enveloped him, bringing a sense of peace that was rare in his hectic routine.
As he walked to the course, he was greeted by some acquaintances from the business sector, but he remained focused, deciding that this was a time to relax. After a few minutes, Aether projected himself discreetly into a small device in Matthew's pocket, visible only to him.
"Sir, the course details are ready for your play," Aether informed him, monitoring the reserve and equipment details.
"Perfect, Aether. Connect me to my precision drills and we'll focus on that today," Matthew replied, gripping the golf club firmly. He positioned the ball, took a deep breath, and swung the first shot, sending it flying. The calculated movement and precise force showed how dedicated Matthew was even in his leisure moments.
After a few swings, he felt the device vibrate with a new notification. "Sir, an update from NeuroSys. It appears the advanced AI project has reached an important milestone. The team would like to meet with you later this week to present the results."
Matthew paused, considering. "Aether, reschedule for early next week. Today is just for relaxation." "Understood, sir," Aether replied, his tone almost sounding understanding. Matthew turned his attention back to the game, enjoying every movement and the calm of the place.
Suddenly, a player approached, recognizing him. He was a veteran businessman in the industry, always interested in the new technological trends that Matthew introduced to the market.
"Matthew Oliveira! I heard you were here and thought I'd come say hello," the man said, extending his hand.
Matthew accepted the greeting and smiled cordially. "Always a pleasure, Mr. Coelho. What brings you to the course today?"
"Oh, I always come for a few shots and also to keep up with the latest in the market. But tell me, I heard that NeuroPlay is about to launch something new?"
Matthew smiled, noting the businessman's curious look. "We're finalizing some interesting projects, but I believe the details are still confidential."
"Confidential... I see. Well, I can't wait to see what comes next," the man said with an enigmatic smile before walking away.
Matthew continued playing, content with the peaceful day, while his thoughts danced between the company's projects and the lightness of that rare moment of peace.
The ringing of his cell phone pulled Matthew from his golf game. With a sigh, he reached into his pocket for the phone, a smile lighting up his face when he saw the name "Elise" on the screen.
"Hello, dear! Still at Montavon Corp?" he answered quickly, his voice cheerful.
"Hi, Matt," her voice responded on the other end of the line. "Could you send me the details of the collaboration project?"
"Why is that? Didn't we discuss everything at the last meeting?" he asked, puzzled.
"Oh, it's just that some of the older shareholders are making a point of questioning everything at the meetings," Elise sighed, frustrated.
"Is anyone unhappy with the collaboration?" He frowned. "But it would be great for Montavon."
"So… those old directors are still stuck in the mindset of their time," Elise replied, her tone angrily. "They don't realize that times have changed since they founded the company."
"Montavon has lost many projects because of this outdated mindset," she added with a sigh.
Matthew thought for a moment before answering. "Here's what we'll do: I'll send them the information with some strategic impact points. Maybe with more clarity on the benefits, they'll understand the value of the collaboration."
"That would be great. This more detailed data could help win some of them," Elise replied, a note of relief in her voice.
"I'll get it all ready and sent to you today, honey."
"Thanks, Matt. You're amazing."
"If you need anything, let me know."
