Chapter 2 - Progress of Training

I looked at the numbers on the panel.

"The Goro-goro no mi, the devil fruit with the power of lightning. Humans once said that lightning was the embodiment of a god's wrath. This power is extremely strong and holds immense potential, but it's not easy to master. I've been training to control it since birth, but even now I can only use 60% of its potential," I sighed.

I also glanced at the second part on the panel: Body. During the Abyss invasion, humans began to learn how they could fight demons without relying solely on devil fruit users. That's when a man emerged who realized the physical limits of human growth could be shattered. He was one of the founders of the six families that now rule the world.

Seeing my physical data reminded me of a man named Rocky Balboa, known to the world as the hardest working man. He was the one who discovered that the limits of human physical growth could be broken. This happened one year after the demon invasion from the Abyss. Rocky theorized that it was the human body's instinct to evolve in order to survive. From that point, he became the symbol of hard work. He led non-devil fruit users to train and become stronger. He said that he broke through the physical growth barrier seven times, and to this day, he's the only one who has managed to do so. However, he never broke through the eighth barrier before he passed away from old age.

Lux glanced at his physical data, showing 48%, then smiled and said, "The physical limit of humans before the invasion was 10%. Once you break the barrier between ordinary and extraordinary, the human body is freed from the 10% constraint. I've broken through my own barrier three times. Those three times are the result of my hard work since childhood. For people my age, it's almost impossible to break three barriers by the age of 15, even if they use demon monster blood." Despite being proud of myself, I couldn't allow myself to be satisfied, as the third barrier was not the end.

"The body is the foundation of all power in this world. Even devil fruit users need to pay attention to their physical condition, because when they use their abilities, physical stamina is the price," I mused, looking at the data below.

"Haki and spirit. Haki cannot be separated from the body and spirit. I can't use Busoshoku (Armament) Haki without a strong body. The same goes for Kenbunshoku (Observation) Haki, which cannot be separated from the spirit. Because my spirit has reached 90%, I'm currently better at Kenbun Haki. Maybe because my spirit is so old, its value is really high. There aren't many Haki users, but there aren't too few either," Lux lay back on the sofa to rest, making sure his body didn't get exhausted after training all day.

I closed my eyes, deep in thought.

"Given this second chance at life, I still don't know my purpose in this world. For the past 15 years, I've focused solely on training to become as strong as possible before school starts, because that's where the real competition will begin," Lux pondered his purpose in life, hoping he might find it when school starts tomorrow.
