Chapter 4 - Hate

 "Las Vegas?"

"You have three casinos there. I want to get to know each of them and..."

"Don't look at me like that, Anna!" All asked with a smile as she undressed him with a look.

It had been seven months since they had met and now she believed she loved him and her desire was insatiable. He liked knowing that, of course. It was good for the ego of a man his age to have a beautiful young woman who worshipped and desired him, but he feared that before long, he would no longer be enough for her. He never imagined that he would fall in love at that age, let alone that she would fall in love with him. He couldn't have sex with her. There was something about her that inspired in him the desire to offer her much more than he had intended. All came to love her with the affection of a father. She dreamed that she would marry him, and then he would complete and consummate the final act of sex. What the poor young woman didn't realize was that behind him, there was a pack of werewolves waiting for her to be put in the green house, and he was looking for an alternative to that situation, but he was running out of time. The werewolves were getting impatient and because of his hesitation, they were even more curious. And with no intention of increasing the werewolves' curiosity, he was researching a university, so that he could send her when his son's eyes weren't watching.

Anna got up from the sofa, where she had a photo album of All in her hands, and began to undress, while staring at him defiantly. Anna admired his resistance to having sex with her, but sometimes believed there was something wrong with her. All was famous for having many women, despite being married, and she had never heard of any of them being spared from his fantasies.

He smiled and cradled her in his arms as she approached and kissed her softly, as always.

"You're wonderful, Anna... I'm so sorry I can't give you more..."

"You already give me everything I need, All." She said as they began a conversation full of promises for the future.

 ...

The trip to Las Vegas was full of joy and life. Allister felt young next to Anna. She was able to awaken in him the desire to experience things that he had been deprived of because of his position and the obligation to always be an example. She made him feel that his age was no barrier to him enjoying the pleasures that the world offered to the wealthy. That's why he traveled with her to every city she whispered in his ear.

Allister couldn't say no to her, nor did he want to deny anything to someone who gave him so much happiness. It was something he had never experienced. Something he considered unlikely. Happiness just to be by someone's side. He knew that despite his age, he probably still had longer to live than Anna herself, and he didn't like the idea of seeing her old, frail and unprotected.

He took a bottle of wolf drink that was reserved in the casino especially for him, and drank it all, while they lay on a table in the casino that he had closed so that he could be alone with Anna. He immediately felt sick. Someone had poisoned him. But only werewolves knew how to do that and he thought of his youngest son. But he didn't have much time. Before he collapsed, he managed to get a card out of his wallet and handed it to Anna. He felt his body go limp.

Frightened, Anna called the ambulance with the number on the card he had given her, while begging him to hold on and crying next to Allister, who flashed a weak smile as she held him with difficulty.

"What are you feeling?" She asked with tears falling unstoppably down her face.

 "Pain." He said with difficulty.

"The ambulance is coming. Please don't die!"

A few more minutes passed and the first-aid doctors burst in and gave her first aid, eyeing her suspiciously. They didn't allow her to go with them, because they said she wasn't family, but Anna was already used to some of the men who accompanied them on their trips, and ordered them to take her in the back of the ambulance.

At the hospital, the doctor came to tell them that she couldn't accompany Allister, and that they couldn't pass on information about the patient at the request of their son, and All's second wife. Anna felt her face turn red and looked at the members of the mafia who always accompanied them.

"Tell them I'm his real wife!" She shouted, but they remained silent. Anna realized that they wouldn't say anything, but she sat in the waiting room, refusing to leave.

Her son and his wife! Where have they been for the last seven months? She had never heard All mention them, although she knew of their existence.

One of the men approached, and leaving aside the reverence with which he always treated Anna, sat down next to her in the waiting room.

"Go away! You could have helped me, and you didn't!" She shouted angrily.

"Miss... We couldn't. All was once the most powerful and dangerous man I knew, but that was before he met you. Now, the most dangerous and powerful man is his son. We can't stand in his way. He has no mercy."

"Coward." She called out, but now without much vigor.

"I have a family, miss. If I went alone, I certainly wouldn't care about my life, but the boss's son would kill my family before my eyes, before killing me."

 "What do I do now?"

"Wait. We have to wait for the boss's son's orders."

 Anna stood up.

"If he would kill you cruelly just because you disobeyed an order, what will he do to me? I can't wait to find out!"

"You can't run away. You have a father, remember? You don't mind him paying for your... Disobedience? You're family property now. You've been bought."

 Anna sat down again.

 "Which son?"

 The man smiled sadly.

"The youngest. The eldest son is a judge, and he doesn't like getting involved with the mafia."

 "Maybe he'll protect me..."

The man, who lived so close to her that she didn't know his name, stared at her as if she had gone mad.

"He doesn't get involved." He repeated. "He doesn't have a friendly relationship with his brother, but they share the same feelings for you."

 "They have feelings for me?"

 "Hate."

 "They don't even know me!"

"They don't need to. The younger son's mother was very convincing when she talked to them about how Allister had abandoned her for a younger woman."

 Anna's eyes turned cold.

 "It wasn't my fault!"

"They know, but they don't care. They love their mother and to please her, they'll do anything. I think that's the only thing they have in common apart from their looks."

The man's radio chattered looking for someone on the wire, and he stood up and introduced himself as 'Northern Wolf on the Wire' and turned his back to Anna.

She became pensive. They would have her killed with the utmost cruelty. She couldn't try to run away, because they would take their anger out on her father. She took a deep breath and leaned back on the sofa. It was a relatively small price to pay for having been happy for seven months. She only regretted not having a child. She wanted and planned to pierce All's condoms with needles, so that it would happen after they were married, because she believed that surprising him with a pregnancy would make him happy, and give him back a little of everything he had given her.
