Synopsis
A young science student named Jessica embarks on a perilous journey into the snowy mountains with her fellow students. Their mission is to salvage their professor’s endangered research project, which has lost funding due to some shady dealings. The project, once a beacon of hope for scientific advancement, now teeters on the brink of termination. Determined to save their professor’s work, the group sets out into the harsh, unforgiving wilderness. As they ascend the treacherous slopes, a sudden and fierce snowstorm engulfs them. The wind howls and the snow falls relentlessly, reducing visibility to almost nothing. In the chaos, Jessica becomes separated from the rest of the group. She struggles to find her way back, but the storm is too strong. The biting cold seeps through her clothes, and she can feel her strength waning. Desperation sets in as Jessica stumbles through the blizzard. Her foot catches on a hidden rock, and she falls hard, breaking her arm in the process. The pain is excruciating, and she knows she can’t continue like this. She needs to find shelter, and fast. Through sheer willpower, she drags herself to a small, icy cavern she spots nearby. Crawling inside, she hopes the storm will soon pass, but it only grows fiercer. Inside the cavern, the temperature drops even further. Jessica’s broken arm throbs with pain, and the cold begins to take its toll on her body. Her movements slow, and she can feel her body temperature plummeting. She wraps herself in her coat, but it’s not enough. The cold is relentless, and she knows she won’t last much longer. Her vision blurs, and she starts to lose consciousness. Just as she’s about to give in to the darkness, a shadow looms over her. Through her fading vision, she sees a face appear in front of her. It’s not human. The creature has white fur surrounding its head and bright blue eyes that seem to pierce through the gloom. Jessica’s heart races with a mix of fear and curiosity. The creature leans closer, and she hears it mumble a single word: “MATE!” The word echoes in her mind as she slips into unconsciousness while a huge pair of furry arms lifted her up from the could cavern floor. Could love bloom between two very different species and if so could they fight of the critics from both sides, the Yeti clan distrusting the himans and the humans only wanting to get to know the yeti for selfish reasons. only time would tell in this icey tale of unexpected love.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

This was it.

The end.

I was going to die, I was sure of it.

How i wished that I was back home, wrapped in my favorite, fluffy Yeti blanket, named after my favorite snow creature, while drinking a hot cup of mint tea while browsing trough Netflix.

Instead I was thousands of miles away from my cozy, warm home or any other warm place for that matter, laying half frozen, with a broken arm, a head wound and not to mention a brushed ego, hiding in a small, half open ice cavern which meant I had become the new human toy of the elements. The unexpected snowstorm that was ragging outside my hiding spot has been gaining more and more power over the last two hours or so, making the already low temperature drop even more low.

I could here my sister scolding me in my head. She was the more grounded one of us two, the one that always did what was told, sweet and kind hearted but not into going out to see the world, exploring like I was.

I sighed deeply. Even though we did not always see eye to eye, my sister and me, I wished with all my heart that I could see her one more time to tell her that I loved her very much but alas here I am, trying hard to fight the blistering icy cold that had made its way inside my body and for what? A science project that was about to get closer because of lack of funding, but because professor Snowball, (yeah don't laugh, I know, ironic right?) anyways because of his stubbornness I was stuck here on a glacier about the die, giving my life for mere science, never to experience true love and having a family of my own one day.

As reality really started to sink in a lonely tear escaped, rolling down my numb cheek.

I wish it was going to be quick and painless because I hated pain and the pain in my arm was already really making me start to feel sick.

I closed my eyes, giving up the fight of staying awake. Slowly I felt myself drifting off into a deep, dark slumber. But just before the final light fades put into my eternal darkness i saw something strange appear in my slightly blurry vision, making me to wonder if already had died….

A pair of deep blue, sparkling eyes set in a face which did not look human, with white fluffy hair surrounding it. The eyes stared right back at me with such an intensity that it made me tremble. and then he mumbled a word….

One word that changed everything!

¨MATE¨
