"So, the Naaman said it's just one Beast Lord responsible for all this? Aiko doesn't see any reason to believe the Naaman, though," the girl argued, crossing her arms like she'd just solved a great mystery.
Jack smirked. She had a way of turning even skepticism into something oddly endearing. For all her awful grammar, lack of tact, and occasional obliviousness, Aiko was far sharper than she let on.
"I'm trying to stay hopeful," Jack replied. "If he's telling the truth and it's only one, that means we can put an end to this faster and save Earth."
Aiko tilted her head dramatically, her blue glow pulsing slightly as she thought. "So, let Aiko get her head around this. Bossman's plan is to destroy the bond of Stipulatio that controls all the monsters?"
"Yeah," Jack said, nodding. "Once they lose coordination, the mages should be able to handle them."
