*Route 24*
The downpour stopped as bright sunshine pierced through the clouds.
It has been almost an hour since Adam seperated from his friends.
He looked towards the beautiful sky while avoiding the puddles of water.
'I will reach vermilion city within an hour.'
'After defeating the gym leader I will leave for lavender city and catch a haunter or ghastly.'
He kept walking forward while he planned on how to get his 3rd Pokemon.
"Hmm?" Adam eyes widened when saw a trainer battling a wild mankey.
It was natural for a trainer to fight wild pokemon.
But what suprised was the pokeballs which were floating and spinning around the trainer.
'A psychic?' Adam was inwardly happy as he saw the trainer's hitmonlee fight the mankey.
It was not much of a fight, the mankey was extremely out matched by the hitmonlee.
The battle ended the moment Adam arrived.
The psychic threw his pokeball at the unconscious mankey and finally caught it.
The psychic's closed eyes opened revealing his bright green eyes as he looked at Adam.
"What do you want?" He asked while walking towards the pokeball which contained the newly caught mankey.
Adam did not reply as he started thinking on how to converse with the psychic.
'Should I outright tell him that I want to be a psychic.' He mocked himself for not thinking ahead.
"You want to be a psychic?" The man said as he stored his pokeballs into his bag.
'Did he jus-'
"Yes, I read your mind." The psychic cut off Adam before he could even finish his thoughts.
"Would you stop reading my mind it's ru-" Adam was again interrupted by the psychic.
"What are you gonna do about it?" The psychic asked in a challenging tone.
'Then there's no other choice' Adam sighed and looked at the psychic with a heavy gaze.
After a few seconds the psychic's eyes widened, he immediately stopped reading Adam's mind as he ran to a nearby tree and started puking.
'Oh was that too much?' Adam approached the psychic and started rubbing his back.
The psychic stopped puking and took in a deep breath.
He looked at Adam as if he was a madman and yelled in rage:"Who would even think of something like that? Are you even human?"
"You're the one who started reading my mind." Adam replied bluntly.
"Adam." After a few seconds of silence he introduced himself and reached out his hand.
The psychic did not reject him and used Adam's hand as support to stand up.
"I'm Noah" The psychic said as he quickly let go of Adam's hand.
Adam did not seem to mind as he said:" Friend don't you know in the trainer manual it isn't advised for trainers to travel alone."
Noah's face cringed when he saw Adam's smiling face.
"Drop the act I know what you want." Noah said with a hint of frustration.
He did not wait for Adam's reply and started walking deeper into the forest.
He turned around and looked at Adam.
"Since we have the same destination I won't mind teaching you a few things."
He impatiently told and started walking.
'Did those interesting facts about a vaporeon traumatize him?' Adam thought as he followed Noah into the forest.
*An hour later*
Adam and Noah looked unimpressed at the two masked men who tried to rob them.
Adam looked at their masks and the team rocket logo on their unfirom and thought:'At least they tried their best.'
Noah without warning lifted a huge boulder with his mind and launched it at the grunts.
The grunts could not react got crushed by the boulder.
Blood splattered on Adam's face and dress, he reeled back in disgust.
"Do you how long it takes me to clean these?" He gritted his teeth in annoyance and started to clean as much as blood he can with his handkerchief.
Noah looked at Adam with a smug expression and said mockingly: "Ain't my problem that you don't have a forcefield around."
"Fuck you" Adam cursed.
"You too" Noah still had his smug expression.
"That's gay"
"I know"
The two continued quarelling as they bulldozed their way through a horde of team rocket grunts.
The duo should've already reached vermilion city by now but the route they took was infested with team rocket.
'Fucking hell, why do these grunts want to fight everyone they see don't they know what anything about stealth?' Adam mocked as he interrogated a grunt.
The grunt did not want to get beaten up anymore and confessed everything.
They were sent on a secret mission that especially emphasized on 'stealth'.
'Giovanni could only recruit retards.' Adam thought in annoyance.
The two of them did not want to get involved too much with these grunts.
They strayed away from the route and reached a river.
Seeing that there was no other people here, they planned on how to get to vermilion city safely.
"Do you have a flying Pokemon?" Noah asked Adam while looking up at the night sky.
Adam shook his head and said:" I only have a nidoking and a gyarados."
Noah unknowingly felt a little relief when he heard Adam did not have a Pokemon called vaporeon.
He took out a pokeball and released the Pokemon inside.
It was a blue bird with cloud like feathers.
It was an altaria.
Noah impatiently climbed onto the altaria.
" Get on we don't have much time to waste." Noah said and held out his for Adam.
Adam held Noah's hand tightly and climbed on to the altaria.
"Now fly" Noah said with a tired tone.
The altaria quickly rose up into the sky and started flying towards vermilion city.
Noah closed his eyes as his black hair and clothes fluttered.
He enjoyed flying and the feeling of being high up in the sky.
Meanwhile, Adam was holding on for his dear life.
'What am I even doing here' Adam already started regretting on making Noah his companion.
