Seamus
Harry smiled. He reached out and helped her. Her dress was a little old-fashioned and he didn't want her hair to clash.
"Thank you, Harry," Ginny said. She took a look at her hair and smiled.
Other girls came down into the common room as the boys started heading up to get started. Harry sat down as Lavender came over. "Could you fix my nails?" she asked. Lavender was dressed in layers of pink that made her look like a princess.
Harry matched her nails to the dress and she bounced off happily. After Lavender Harry had a steady stream of girls coming to him.
Parvati got some of the prettiest nails since her Indian-style clothes let Harry play more with gold and rhinestones without her looking tacky.
"Thank you, Harry," Parvati said.
When Ron and his brothers made it up the stairs, Harry was sitting in the middle of a group of girls.
Ron went between jealousy and disgust. He wouldn't know what to do in a group of girls.
He would probably just get them all angry at him. What he didn't understand was how Harry could sit there and laugh.
"Whoa, Harry mate, what are you trying at," Seamus said as he passed by.
Harry and all the girls he was surrounded with turned to look at Seamus. "I'm having fun with the girls," Harry said.
"Did you know that Nicolai in Ravenclaw has the like most amazing blue eyes ever?" He ducked as Alicia Spinet punched him. "Ow."
"We don't sound like that," Alica said.
"I know that," Harry said with a laugh. He went back to painting nails.
Fred and George came back down and they joined Harry. "Well, well Harry you look dashing," they said in unison.
"Thank you. You're not too bad yourselves," Harry said.
"You think Angelina will approve," Fred said as he twirled girlishly. "I don't look fat in this right."
Harry chuckled. "I think she'd be overjoyed as long as that impression wasn't supposed to be of her," he said.
"It better not have been," Angelina said as she walked down the last steps of the spiral staircase leading up to the girl's dorms.
Her yellow dress flowed around her. She looked like a goddess.
"Ah, my pretty lady, will you forgive this poor jest for his missteps," Fred said dramatically.
Angelina shook her head in amusement. She took Fred's outstretched hand, and he hugged her close.
Alicia walked over to them from her group of friends and took George's hand not long after that.
They were all on the Quidditch team. Katie came down as well and all of them were gathered. The Gryffindor Quidditch team.
They spent fifteen minutes or so just talking to each other. They ended up on the subject of Quidditch eventually.
"…well who says we can't play some?" Harry said. "They just said there won't be a competition this year.
That doesn't mean we can't play. All we need to do is talk to the other teams you know. The only bad part is that we don't have a Keeper.
But you know what, maybe it would be a good idea to look for one this year and train them so they're ready next year."
Angelina smirked. "Oh, that is such a good idea. No one else will think about that," she said.
"So until the weather gets better we look for people who are interested then?" Alicia said.
"That would be the plan," Harry said. "I spent hours flying before it got too cold.
We should be able to make a game of some sort out of training too now that slave master Wood is not running the team."
"And then we get serious when it matters," Angelina said. She looked up at the stairs as footsteps made their way down the girls' stairs. "Oh, my," she said.
Harry turned towards the stairs. A smirk spread over his lips. "You look lovely Hermione," he said.
He held his arm out for her. "I'm going to assume that your date isn't a Gryffindor," he said. "May I walk you downstairs?"
Hermione's bushy hair had been tamed down and put in an elegant knot at the back of her head. Her dress was blue and made her look slightly like a fairy princess.
Harry doubted anyone would have trouble seeing that she was a girl now, as foolish as that notion had been, to begin with.
He glanced over at Ron whose mouth was hanging open. She blushed and took his arm. "You look quite stunning yourself," she said.
Harry walked over to the portrait hole with her by his side. The rest of the Quidditch team followed behind them.
He smiled softly. Hermione was quiet for once. She seemed rather nervous. "Don't worry," he said. "It'll be fine. You'll have a lovely evening.
You'll see." He guided her down to the Entrance Hall. "Are you leaving the castle?" he asked.
Hermione nodded slowly. "Yes," she said.
Harry looked over his shoulder. "We'll see you guys later," he said. He led Hermione out of the castle and into the cold evening.
He warmed her up as they walked out towards the ship. The courtyard had been turned into a maze of ice tunnels. It looked magical.
They made their way to the Durmstrang ship and up the gangplank. Harry reached out and knocked on the door to the forecastle.
It took a little while, and then the door opened. It was Viktor Krum. "Herm-own-ninny you are beautiful," he said. He turned his head and looked at Harry.
Harry smiled. "I'll leave you now. I have my own lady to get to," he said. He kissed Hermione on the forehead. "Have fun," he said.
Then he backed off before turning around. He needed to go and meet Fleur. He wasn't the only one standing by the Beauxbatons carriage.
There were several Hogwarts students and two guys from Durmstrang out there as well. The carriage opened and several French girls came walking out.
