Chapter 4 - Goind to the Town(1)

Even though the massacre had ended, Bluevoice still closed her eyes.

She curled up like a frightened mouse.

Leen let go of the hand that covered Bluevoice's ears.

"Now it's safe, Bluevoice. You can turn Conceal off."

"A-Alright..."

Bluevoice's voice trembled as she timidly raised her head and opened both of her eyelids.

"Ah, don't look in that direction."

Bluevoice was almost staring in the direction where the massacre had occurred, so Leen closed the girl's eyes with his hands and guided her away from seeing the horrific scene.

Bluevoice knew what was going on, so she didn't resisting what Leen do.

After Leen took Bluevoice away enough from the place where the massacre occurred, a game system notification appeared in front of the two.

[Congratulations, player!]

[Your village is destroyed, your family is killed, and the entire villagers are slaughtered. However, you managed to save yourself!]

[Event successfully completed with a Perfect score!]

[Event completion rewards: +3 Status points; Wooden Treasure Box ×1]

Leen sighed at it.

"Thank goodness. It looks like the Event is now over, Bluevoice."

Leen smiled and turned around, but he didn't find anyone there.

Bluevoice has disappeared.

Leen smiled wryly.

"She logged out? Well, I guess that's natural after remembering what happened."

Leen also couldn't get in the mood to continue the game, so he immediately logged out as well.

In his special gaming chair, Lena woke up.

Wiping his face, he sighed when he saw the bracelet in his hand.

"Dungeon of Logoss... This game is wilder than I thought."

Lena felt a little sorry for whoever the player named Bluevoice was.

She looked like a rookie, but was immediately confronted with such a shocking Event.

She might even become traumatized with everything related to VR after this.

"I guess I'll never see her again..."

Like a man in general, Lena slightly hopes to be able to meet a beautiful girl like Bluevoice again.

Since he had saved the lives of the two of them, he should have been on the good side of Bluevoice.

That's what Lena thinks.

However, it was only a momentary desire of his gender innate, so he quickly forgot about it.

"Dungeon of Logoss... I have to find out more about this game before I start playing it again."

Lena opens his PC, then enters the DOL Fandom website.

He hadn't thought of giving up yet!

-A few moments later...

On the PC screen, a DOL stream performed by a woman is being shown.

She roams the streets of the city in DOL while explaining all the aspects about DOL that all beginners need to know.

Lena watched it seriously and took note of the things he thought were important.

Meanwhile, in other places.

In a single apartment room, a girl with long black hair who looked to be about 18 years old was soaking in her bathtub.

What she was experiencing inside the DOL was ringing in her head.

However, there was no trace of sadness on her young face this time.

Her face turned red.

"What happened to me?"

Something grows inside her.

And it was a strange feeling.

It felt forbidden, and it made her addicted.

The next day.

Lena woke up pretty well because he was quite exhausted from what was happening in the DOL and after spending the whole night researching the basics about the DOL.

In the end, Lena discovered that everyone has all their own unique ways to enjoy the game.

There is no relevant standard benchmark.

They can do whatever they do.

Lena looked at the calendar on his phone.

-May 25, 2086.

Today is Monday.

And Monday is a holiday for Lena.

After taking a shower and having breakfast, Lena decided to get into the game once again.

The goal is to reach the Town that the refugees had previously been aiming for.

[Welcome to the Dungeon of Logoss, Mr. Lena!]

Lena once again entered the Blank virtual room.

In that virtual room, Lena found his three characters standing still.

A female elf character, an overpowered loli witch, and an ordinary boy with yellowish-brown hair.

"It would be nice if Luck's stats could be improved."

Looking at the status of Luck belonging to his only male character, Lena sighed.

His Luck stat is only 1.

That meant that he would never be lucky as long as he used this character.

However, Lena had read the DOL game settings.

He knew that Luck could not be upgraded except with a slight chance of improvement when a player leveled up.

Despite knowing all that, Lena would not use his female characters.

He starts the game using the previous character.

The next time Lena blinked, he was already standing in the forest and in the same position as before he logged out.

Leen didn't immediately start walking towards the Town.

He first opened his status and allocated every point stat he earned to Strength, Stamina, and Defense stats.

Now, Leen's status looks like this:

[Player name: Leen Brawn.]

[Race: Human.]

[Sex: Man.]

[Age: 10 y/o.]

[Level: 1.]

[Job:...]

[Strength: 3][Defense: 2][Magic: 4]

[Speed: 4][Stamina: 2][Wise: 10]

[Luck: 1]

[Innate Skill: Learning.]

Leen didn't feel any changes in his body other than he felt an increase in muscle mass in his body

Afterwards, Leen took out the Wooden treasure chest he had obtained from the Inventory, then opened it.

[You open the Wooden treasure chest ×1]

[You get Traveler's Robe ×1]

[You get Traveler's Shoes ×1]

[You get 100 bronze coins.]

[You get +1 SP(Stats point).]

"Woah, not bad!"

Leen immediately took out the two items he had obtained and put them on.

[Item: Traveler's robe.]

[Item class: Common.]

[This robe is a mandatory robe used by travelers to withstand the cold of the night and the heat of the day on their journey.]

[+26% cold resistance.]

[+23% heat resistance.]

Leen feels comfortable and protected while wearing it.

[Item: Traveler's shoes.]

[Item class: Common.]

[A mandatory shoe for travelers to pass through all kinds of terrain and places they will pass through during the journey.]

[+20% stamina.]

Leen replaced the muddy shoes he was using with Traveler's shoes.

The shoe fits perfectly to his foot like a special one made for him.

100 bronze coins... Although it wasn't much, Leen could use it to enter the Town, so it was also very useful.

"Alright, let's get started!"

Waving his robe, Leen walked towards the nearest Town with steady steps.
