The sound of hammers striking wood echoed across the island for an entire month. Sawdust filled the air, the scent of freshly cut Adam Wood blending with the salty ocean breeze. Yuji and the others didn't just wait they worked.
Kisame lifted heavy beams like they weighed nothing, his monstrous strength making the toughest jobs seem easy. Law, ever the strategist, helped with precise measurements and blueprints, ensuring Reon's masterpiece was built to perfection. Hancock, despite her usual reluctance to do manual labor, occasionally supervised, ensuring that everything met her high standards.
And Bepo… well, Bepo tried his best.
At one point, he tripped while carrying a bucket of nails, sending them flying everywhere. "I-I'm sorry!" he cried out. "I'll clean it up right away!"
Reon sighed, rubbing his temples. "Just… just don't touch anything breakable, alright?"
Despite the struggles, by the end of the month, their ship was complete.
And it was terrifying.
The ship stood at a staggering 5,100 cm in length and 7,300 cm in height, dwarfing even the Thousand Sunny. Its hull, made of reinforced Adam Wood, was pitch-black with intricate gold linings resembling dragon scales.
But the most intimidating part? The figurehead.
A massive Ghidorah statue loomed at the ship's front, its three snarling heads ready to strike. Each head held a large cannon in its mouth, large enough to obliterate a ship. The eyes glowed faintly, as if the beast itself was watching anyone who dared approach.
The ship had three sails, two medium-sized ones and a gigantic main sail at the center. Upon it, the Jolly Roger of the Absolute Pirates displayed proudly their jolly roger.
Three skulls, each with a pair of horns, grinning menacingly as if mocking death itself.
The deck was spacious, built for battle and mobility. The lower floors held a state of the art kitchen reinforced just in case Hancock ever decided to cook again, a grand dining area storage rooms, a library which will soon be filled with rare maps and books, a training area, and even a relaxation lounge complete with hammocks and a sake bar.
Bepo nearly cried when he saw a room labeled "For Talking Bears Only."
"You… you guys made this for me?!"
Yuji smirked. "Nah, we just put that there so people don't get confused when they see a talking bear sleeping in there."
Bepo slumped. "Oh… yeah, that makes sense."
Kisame, standing at the edge of the deck, ran his fingers along the railing, his shark-like grin widening. "This ship… feels like a fortress"
Law crossed his arms, nodding. "This thing could take on a battleship fleet and come out without a scratch."
Hearing Law, Bepo replied "Ehh you might be over reacting… No one will survive if they encounter a fleet–"
Hancock, observing from the upper deck, scoffed. "Hmph. As expected of my crew"
Yuji turned to Reon, a satisfied smirk on his face. "You really outdid yourself."
Reon grinned, crossing his arms. "Of course I did. I told you, I build will a legend"
As the crew prepared to set sail, the islanders gathered at the docks, watching in awe. The ship loomed over them, its presence alone enough to make grown men shudder.
"That thing… is a warship!"
"Are they really pirates?!"
"I'd rather fight a sea king than piss them off…"
Yuji took a deep breath, feeling the power beneath his feet.
"Alright! Let's set sail!"
Just as he was about to give the order, a loud thud echoed across the deck.
Everyone turned to see Reon standing at the ship's entrance with bags full of his belongings.
"What the hell are you doing?" Yuji asked, raising an eyebrow.
Reon dropped his bags with a heavy thud and grinned.
"Who the fuck is gonna take care of my masterpiece other than me?!"
The entire crew stared.
Law sighed. "Of course he's coming."
Bepo tilted his head. "Wait… so we have a shipwright now?"
Hancock, though acting indifferent, subtly smirked. "Hmph. At least we won't have to deal with subpar repairs."
Kisame grinned wildly."Good. A ship this great needs a master to maintain it."
Yuji stared at Reon for a moment, then grinned. "Fine. Welcome aboard, Reon"
Reon slammed his fist against his chest. "Damn right!"
With that, Yuji turned back to the sea, raising his hand.
"Raise the sails! It's time to conquer the seas!"
The Absolute Pirates' monstrous new ship began to move, leaving the island behind.
To be continued…
