After two hours.
"The Second Phase of the Hunter Exam is over," Menchi suddenly announced while the applicants were thinking of ways to please her and succeed. "The number of successful candidates in this test is only two."
Indeed, only two succeeded: Touta and Kuroumaru, while everyone else failed because none of them knew how to cook. Even Gon and the others failed despite Touta's help, as they didn't know how to cook meat properly, which caused their failure.
"Oh my God, it seems her bad habits have returned," muttered Satotz, who was watching from a distance with binoculars, and he took out his phone to call someone.
Boom*
"Don't mess with me, woman!" shouted a fat man as he destroyed the temporary kitchen. "I came here to become a Hunter, not a cook!"
"That's true," shouted another person, and soon everyone began to support the first person, as no one liked the idea of failing the Hunter Exam, especially when the reason was that they couldn't cook.
"I refuse to let my fate be decided by mere Gourmet Hunters!" shouted another person, glaring at Menchi and Buhara with contempt.
"Just Gourmet Hunters..." Menchi muttered, forcing herself to smile sarcastically and control her anger. "It's unfortunate that your examiner is just a Gourmet Hunter. So, try again next year."
"Don't mess with me, you bitch!" screamed the fat man who had spoken earlier, advancing angrily towards Menchi, clearly intending to hit her.
Boom*
Seeing the man approaching Menchi, Buhara didn't hesitate to punch him, sending the fat man flying and crashing into a wall 50 meters away.
"Buhara, there's no need to do that," Menchi said, holding several knives in her hands.
"But if I hadn't done that, I would have killed him, wouldn't I?" said Buhara indifferently, as it was obvious he noticed Menchi's movement and her killing intent, as she had intended to slice the fat man.
"Maybe..." Menchi shrugged indifferently and walked toward the applicants. "It doesn't matter what kind of Hunter you want to become. All Hunters are required to learn martial arts because no matter what kind of Hunter you want to be, you must risk your life to do what you want."
"And this also applies to Gourmet Hunters," Menchi said, casually tossing the knives in the air, clearly strong. "We risk our lives to gather various ingredients and explore places with dangerous beasts. That's why everyone will fail except for those two."
It was clear that Menchi wouldn't change her decision; she wasn't planning on letting anyone succeed except for Touta and Kuroumaru.
Seeing how stubborn Menchi was, Hisoka took out one of his playing cards, intending to kill her, as he wasn't the type to leave quietly if he was going to fail anyway.
"What you're saying is true, but don't you think it's unreasonable for only two to succeed?" At that moment, everyone heard the voice of an old man echoing throughout the area, and a hot air balloon with the Hunter Association's emblem appeared in the sky.
Hearing the old man's voice, Hisoka smiled and returned the playing card to his pocket, seemingly no longer needing to kill Menchi.

Split Mountain.
With the intervention of the Leader of the Hunter Association, Isaac Netero, it was decided to redo the Second Phase of the Hunter Exam on Split Mountain.
While everyone would redo the Second Phase, Touta and Kuroumaru were exempt from this, as they had already succeeded, and there was no point in making them redo it.
While everyone was at Split Mountain, Touta and Kuroumaru were in the hot air balloon, training while discussing what had happened with Hisoka.
"By the way, that power that Hisoka was using," said Touta, dodging a sword strike from Kuroumaru with a backflip and attempting to kick Kuroumaru in the chin, "Was that the Ki you mentioned earlier?"
"That's right," said Kuroumaru, avoiding Touta's strike, as he had already anticipated it. It seemed that Touta liked to make these attacks while evading the other's blows. "But his power is a bit different from the Ki I know."
"Different? How?" asked Touta, curious. Despite having immense magical power, he didn't know how to use it, as Yukihime had only taught him to gather his magical energy in his hand and punch, which only enhanced his strength.
"I don't know exactly, but Hisoka's Ki seems to have special properties or abilities," said Kuroumaru, using Shundo to dodge a flurry of punches from Touta. "Even though he was using Ki, his Ki seemed different from normal Ki."
"I see..." muttered Touta, feeling something strange about the Ki that Hisoka was using and also the one Kuroumaru was using. "I think Yukihime knows something, but unfortunately, she's not here."
"That's a possibility," Kuroumaru nodded in agreement, as even he suspected that Yukihime must know something about the Ki Hisoka was using.
After stopping the conversation, the two increased their speed and fought without restraint, intending to kill each other, as they were immortal and not afraid of killing one another. It didn't affect them much.
While Kuroumaru initially wielded a sword, Touta quickly started to pressure him by enhancing his hands with his magical energy, pushing the sword off its path.
Thus, the two soon started fighting on equal terms, with Touta developing with every moment, his superior fighting sense, while Kuroumaru compensated for this with his richer combat experience compared to Touta.
