The shadows grew long as the group emerged from the canyon, the rugged terrain giving way to a sparse settlement nestled at the base of a craggy hill. The town was small, more a waypoint for adventurers and explorers than a bustling city. A handful of weathered buildings lined the single dirt road, their signs swaying gently in the evening breeze.
At the center of the settlement stood an inn, its lanterns casting a warm, inviting glow against the twilight sky. The scent of roasted meat and freshly baked bread wafted from within, mingling with the faint hum of conversation.
Lyra adjusted the strap of her greatsword and glanced back at her companions. "We'll stop here for the night. Get some rest before we tackle the dungeon. It does feel odd there's an inn her though"
Sylvia grinned, her green eyes gleaming with excitement. "Good. I could use a hot meal and a soft bed."
