The library was a sprawling labyrinth of knowledge, shelves towering towards the ceiling, each filled to the brim with books of all shapes and sizes. The scent of old parchment and leather bindings filled the air, and the only sounds were the faint creaking of the shelves and the rustle of pages turning. It was mid afternoon just after their lesson, and sunlight streamed through the tall windows, casting warm beams across the library floor.
Victor and I had found a quiet spot in one of the corners, a large oak table with a pile of books between us. The topic on both our minds was something we'd been putting off since we arrived at Andosa College: what to bond.
Victor leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression on his face. "So, have you decided how we're going to approach this bond situation? Should we both go for it at the same time, or one of us first?"
