Raelynn stirred in bed, her body aching as she fought to open her eyes. She tried to piece things together... Oh, right. She'd eaten Hera's porridge, taken her meds, and she'd gone straight to sleep.
She blinked a few times, adjusting to the bright light in the room. It took her a moment to notice Elion, seated by her bedside, reading something on his phone.
The sight was so foreign to her that for a moment, she wondered if she was still dreaming.
"You're awake," Elion said. He set his phone down immediately and leaned closer, his piercing gaze scanning her face. "How do you feel?"
Raelynn's lips twitched into a faint smile. "Like a sack of bricks... but lighter than before."
Elion's exhale was faint but carried a hint of amusement. "You're terrible at describing how you feel."
