Raelynn sighed softly as Hera adjusted her dress. The warm scent of lavender lingered in the air from her recent shower.
"I'm so sorry, Hera," she said. "I hate making you do all this—helping me shower, getting me dressed. I feel so helpless."
Hera smiled warmly, shaking her head as she smoothed the hem of Raelynn's dress. "It's no trouble at all, Raelynn. You're recovering, and it's important to take care of yourself. I'm glad to help, and honestly, it's kind of my job."
Raelynn wrinkled her nose, clearly unconvinced. "I just can't wait to do all of this myself again. But thank you. Really."
With a final pat on Raelynn's shoulder, Hera stepped back. "All done. Let's get you back to bed. I will bring breakfast to your room."
Raelynn shook her head. "No way. I've been lying around for too long. My back's already sore from all the resting. I think I need to move a bit, and breakfast at the table sounds like a good start."
