The following days, Ivy successful escape every Jane attempt to set a date. Not only that, but the contract had been signed. KAIZEN would be their investor for their on coming fashion show and for the construction of their modelling school.
She knew starting all over in another country wouldn't be an easy fierce but she didn't expect to be so busy with work to have no time to spend with her friends. For two weeks, it has only be company house. Nothing more. At least it help her not to lie to Jane because she was truly busy to death.
"Ivy, you should take some rest," Yuyan, her personal assistant said. She was sitting across her on her bureau.
"If you didn't notice, I have no time to rest," she said lifting papers up to proof her points. She had no time to breathe, not to say take a break and sleep. All she wanted was to sleep but she couldn't.
"Who had the brilliant idea to reallocate the company again?" she complained, leaning on her chair, aiming to rest for a second.
"You are the genius behind it," Yuyan answered empathizing with her.
"Aren't I a genius?" she said in sarcasm. She wished she could beat her past self who thought it would be a piece of cake.
"You are and you would get everything work in time and you won't be able to do so if you burn out," Yuyan tried to reason her.
"You also need to do the medical check up I keep asking you. You are only one remaining for me to be over with it,"
"Do I look like I have the time for that?" Ivy asked, her eyes closed.
The dark circles beneath her eyes keep on increasing. The quantity of coffee she was drinking each day were alarming. Yuyan was full of concern.
"No," Yuyan replied. Not liking her answer but it was, Ivy didn't have the time. Work kept on increasing, herself was buried under work she could only imagine Ivy situation.
"Seriously, you like shit," she added.
"Don't take her seriously Ivy, you are superb as always. The dark circles only reinforced your charmed," a man said.
Ivy didn't have to open her eyes to know whom it was. The familiarity and his choose of words. It couldn't be anyone other than her vice president.
"Don't need to flatter me, I saw my reflection this morning," she looked horrible, she knew that. On top of it, she didn't put make up in the morning. Her face was bare in front of them.
"You know me, I never lie. Not to you. You are beautiful," he said seating next to his sister.
Ivy only smile, didn't react to his words. Yong had a thing for Ivy, he confessed to her few months ago and was of course rejected. They remained friends and professional but it didn't stop him to flirt with her now and then. She wasn't bothered by it, unlike Jane, she really liked Yong. His only fault was the fact he wasn't Liam.
"Yuyang is right, you should have some rest. I'm back. You can leave the rest to me today. And you profit to do your check up," Yong offered.
He had to stay back while they returned to deal with the last detail. Leaving the majority of work to Ivy.
"Should I really?" she hated hospital.
"So this is the reason, you refused to go just because you are scare of hospital," Yuyan asked bewildered.
"I'm not scare, I just don't like it," Ivy clarified.
"Who would have thought, our dear Ivy who isn't afraid of a staff of directors all against her decision was scared of a simple building," he laughed.
"Ha ha, funny " she said with a flat face.
"Seriously though, you should rest. You look tired," he said full of concern.
"Tomorrow, we would be the three of us. The best team to have existed would be together, nothing can be beyond us. We will make all this possible," he added.
Ivy trusted his words and found comfort in them. He was able to make her nerves relax.
The Jiang siblings and herself meet three years ago, when she had just left the country. Meeting them was what gave life to her dream. Together, they built IVRESSE, soon to be the most know fashion company.
"Fine!" She stood up, "I'm going," she wore her coat hanging on her chair. Who was she to deny their request for her to rest. She trusted Yong with the rest, tomorrow, she would be back.
"Don't forget your medical check up," Yuyan reminded.
Ivy rolled her eyes and left. Without forgetting to take her bag. Hospital, here she was.

.
After taking an appointment with her always doctor. The one who took care of her since she was a child, she was set to go. She hated hospital and even more be consulted by random stranger, that was why she was happy when Dr. Clark accepted to check her up though she on late notice.
Entering the hospital, her steps hasten. The faster she was in the faster she was out. Remembering the way to his office, she didn't bother asking for directions.
In no time, she was in front of a door that read Dr. Clark. She knocked, and waited to be let in before opening the door.
"Ivy!" Dr. Clark exclaimed when she entered. His happiness was expressed with the wide smile resting on his face. He was older man in his earliest forties.
"You look tired," he pointed out seeing the dark circles under eyes.
"Adult life," Ivy said stretching her hands.
"Welcome. Though I doubt it's that difficult for you," he said taking back his seat. Ivy mimicked his action.
"And why so?" she wondered.
"You are Ivy Stone, what could be beyond you?" he teased.
"Nothing, that's right," she grinned.
"Time passed but you are still the same," he chuckled, "Look at you, you are a woman now," he complimented her.
The last time he saw her, she was still a teenager. The memory he had of her was a huge contrast to the woman standing in front of him. One thing for sure, she still held high confidence in herself.
"And you didn't change at all, still handsome as always. Now that I'm a woman I got my chance with you?" she joked. When she was younger, she had small crush on him, he was so handsome.
Dr. Clack chuckled ,"I'm sorry but I'm already married. Unless you want to be the mistress it did be impossible," he said presenting the ring on his finger.
"So I'm fit to be your mistress? I'm honored," she smiled.
Dr. Clack shook his head, she didn't change, always so playful.
"But my mother won't be happy to hear that so I have to decline you offer," she said in between her giggles. He may be handsome but he was no way near Liam, Liam was the best.
"How can I help you," he said back to business.
"Just a general checkup, nothing serious," Dr. Clack nodded before guiding her out of his office.
It took an hour to finish everything and Ivy was back to his office waiting for the result. She decided against going back. She had no desire to put back a foot step in there. She would collect her result and then leave.
She waited patiently in her seat but began to grow impatient when after half an hour, there still were no sign of Dr. Clark. Her arms crossed, foot hitting on the floor, she had no choice but to wait. A swift glance on her phone, she relaxed, she still had enough time in front of her to rest of this.
As time passed she became more irritated, she had things to do and he was wasting her time. When her patient was about to break the door open and Dr. Clack step in, his face gloomy and held a frown. Ivy heart squeezed at his sight. Sudden fear took her, seeing his face, she could conclude they were something wrong with her result.
He sat down, saying nothing. Ivy was becoming reckless, why wasn't he saying something.
"Is there a problem?" she finally asked breaking the silence.
"It depends, I have some question to ask you." He leaned in his chair, scrutinizing her.
Ivy shook her head at all the question. Dr. Clack shut his eyes close, massaging his template.
"What is it? Am I sick, do I have some incurable disease? Is it?" she couldn't control herself anymore. He was saying nothing and she could only imagine the worst.
He gave her the result, guilt and pity all over his face. Ivy opened the document with her trembling hands. She couldn't stop but imagine the worst but what she saw was out of her imagination.
