Jayna opened her eyes and looked around the room, noticing Abir was nowhere to be seen. She got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. A few moments later, she stepped out, and went on to get ready.
Abir was on a call, standing on the balcony. When he finally ended the call and entered the room, he saw Jayna sitting on the bed, fully dressed.
He walked up to her and, standing in front of her, said, "You're ready?" Jayna simply nodded.
Abir took her hand, helping her stand, and led her outside. Jayna, filled with confusion, silently looked at him, unsure of what was happening.
He seated her in the passenger seat of his car, then got behind the wheel and started driving. Jayna remained quiet, watching him with questioning eyes, wondering where he was taking her. Two hours later, Abir finally stopped the car, got out, and walked around to help her out. When Jayna saw where they were, her eyes widened in surprise. Standing before her was her childhood home. Abir, however, showed no emotion as he looked at her.
"I brought you here to set you free, once and for all," Abir said. "You can live your life however you want. I won't interfere. You'll never see me again. You've been through a lot because of me, but I don't want to put you in any more trouble. Live however you wish."
Jayna listened quietly, tears filling her eyes. She didn't respond, just let his words sink in.
Abir walked her to the front door and rang the bell.
Moments later, the door opened, and a small smile appeared on Jayna's face. Standing there was her mother, Anu.
Just then, Chirag's voice came from behind Anu, "Who's there?" he called out as he came to the door. Anu and Chirag looked at Jayna and Abir, standing at their doorstep.
Jayna looked at them both, then quickly hugged Anu, her eyes brimming with tears. "Mom, Dad, I missed you so much… I've thought of you every day."
Anu pulled her away, her voice turning sharp. "How dare you come back here?"
Jayna looked at her mother in shock, then tried to hug her father, but Chirag stepped back, leaving her frozen in place. She looked at them, bewildered.
After a pause, Jayna said, "I know you're angry with me for leaving without a word, but please… just give me a chance to explain everything. Mom, Dad, come inside, and I'll tell you everything. I'll explain."
But Chirag, his face full of anger, raised his voice. "Don't you dare take another step forward! I'll make sure you regret it. What is there to explain? We know everything. A year ago, you left us without a word. We trusted you, our daughter, never to do anything that would bring us shame. But you left us no room for pride."
Abir stepped in. "Mr. Mehra, please, let's sit down and talk. Everything will make sense."
Chirag took two steps forward, his voice cold. "Abir Rajvansh, you may be the most powerful man in this city, but this is my home, and I will decide what happens here. A year ago, she left us on her own. Whether she can reenter our lives or not is for me to decide. And today, I, Chirag Mehra, am telling you that our daughter, Jayna Mehra, died over a year ago. The girl standing before us is nothing but Abir Rajvansh's mistress."
Hearing her father's harsh words shook Jayna to her core, and Abir's fists clenched with anger.
Anu looked at Jayna, her eyes cold. "There's no place for you in this home anymore." She grabbed Jayna by the hand, pushing her out of the doorway, and then shut the door in their faces.
Jayna stood there, staring at the closed door for a few moments before she broke down, rushing back to the car and sobbing uncontrollably. Abir followed her, stopping as he watched her cry. He felt a surge of regret and self-blame, realizing that every hardship she was facing was because of him.
After a moment, he approached her, pulling her into a comforting hug, trying to calm her down. When her tears finally started to subside, he led her back to the car, helped her in, then got into the driver's seat and drove away.
Abir finally returned to his villa. He got out, helped Jayna out of the car, and led her back to the room.
Once inside, he had her sit on the bed, handed her some water, and asked softly, "Why aren't you saying anything? It's been so long, and you haven't said a word. Please, say something."
Jayna looked up at him, standing before her, and rose from the bed, hugging him tightly. Through her tears, she whispered, "I've lost everything… my identity, my family, my entire world. I've lost everything…" And she broke down into tears again, unable to stop her sobs.
