Chapter 16 - Unspoken Ties

**"Moving Forward"**

In a large building with ten floors, "Danny" sat in a room, staring at his laptop with anger in his bloodshot eyes. Suddenly, he slammed his laptop down and shouted, "Abir Rajvansh, I will ruin you! You set fire to my factory, didn't you? I will ruin you!"

Standing nearby, Danny's right-hand man said, "But we don't know if this was Abir's doing. We have no proof."

Danny replied, "No one else has the guts to destroy my factory except Abir Rajvansh. I'm sure he did it. I won't let him go."

Meanwhile, Abir stood on his balcony, taking a drag from his cigarette, deep in thought. His face showed no expression.

Suddenly, his phone rang. Abir glanced at the name flashing on the screen, answered the call, and said, "Why are you calling me, Dad?"

On the other end, a voice replied, "Can't I even call you anymore? Have I become so foreign to you?"

Abir, emotionless, said, "When I needed you the most, you weren't there for me, Dad. When my sister needed you, you weren't there with us. I don't need you or your memories anymore." He hung up the call.

After the call ended, Madan muttered to himself, "Abir, I'm your father. I will bring you back to me, and I need to get that girl away from you."

As Abir entered, he saw Ayana tossing and turning in bed, about to wake up. He sat on the other side of the bed.

Ayana slowly opened her eyes and saw Abir looking at her.

Abir, devoid of any emotion, said, "Don't think I'll let you go. You're still of use to me, so your punishment will be delayed for now." He gently lifted Ayana, gave her a tablet, and after some water, laid her back down. "Don't even think about getting out of bed. You need to rest; the more you rest, the sooner you'll recover." Saying this, he left the room.

Ayana watched him leave.

In the hall, Abir was on a call, saying, "This shock is enough for Danny. 'Billa,' keep preparing for the rest of the plan. I need updates every moment."

Billa responded, "But boss, Danny is furious right now. What if he does something to harm us?"

Abir replied, "Danny can do whatever he wants; he can't harm us. If he tries, he'll only make a mistake." He ended the call.

"Billa" is Abir's right-hand man who keeps him updated on everything from the underworld to other matters. While he handles the office's daily affairs, Billa manages illegal activities.

As Abir was about to head back to his room, he saw Aditya approaching.

Abir asked, "You're here? What important work brought you here?"

Adil smiled and said, "I had something to take care of, but it can wait. You're free now, right?"

Rolling his eyes, Abir replied, "You want to drink, don't you?"

Adil laughed, "Of course! I want to drink with you."

Abir said, "Okay, let's go!" and headed toward the bar area, with Adil following him.

Both sat in the bar, drinking together. Adil intentionally encouraged Abir to drink more. After a while, both were drunk!

Looking at Abir, Adil asked, "Hey, can I ask you something? You won't take it the wrong way, right?"

Abir gulped his drink and replied, "Ask whatever you want!"

Adil continued, "How long are you going to keep Ayana here? I mean, her family must be looking for her, right?"

Abir, his expression serious, said, "I don't care about anything. That girl will stay here for the rest of her life! She took my sister from me, and I will give her a life worse than hell."

Adil understood Abir's pain. "There was only one Tashvi, who was so close to him; she was his real sister. As for Maya and Sagar, they were step-siblings who despised Abir, and he felt the same towards them."

Adil asked, "Okay, tell me something. You torture her so much; hasn't she ever tried to escape?"

Hearing this, Abir paused while preparing another drink. He became serious and said, "Yeah, she's never tried to escape! That strikes me as odd! But I will never forgive her for what she did, and I will punish her for life."

After a moment of silence, Abir said, "I've had enough drinking today; I'm going to my room. You should head to yours too!" Saying this, Abir got up and left.

As Abir walked away, Adil wondered, "Why hasn't Ayana ever tried to escape? Why is she surrendering to Abir? There must be something we're unaware of." Determined, he stood up and headed to his room!

Abir entered his room and lay down beside Ayana, closing his eyes.

**The Next Morning,**

Ayana opened her eyes to see Abir sleeping beside her. She stared at his face for a moment before heading to the bathroom.

After a while, Ayana emerged from the bathroom and saw Abir sitting on the bed.

Abir signaled for Ayana to come closer.

She walked over and sat on the bed.

Touching Ayana's forehead, Abir said, "You're feeling much better! You don't have a fever right now." He headed toward the bathroom.

Ayana continued to watch him and thought, "I've been here for so long. I wonder how my mom and dad are managing without me." They must be trying their best to find me. I last saw them at that party before this all happened, and since then, I haven't even talked to them, let alone see them. Just as she was thinking this, Abir came out of the bathroom, dressed only in a towel.

Ayana quickly looked away, not wanting to stare.

Abir went to the closet room, got ready, and picking up his phone, told Ayana, "I have an important meeting today, so I'm heading to the office. Make sure to take your medicine on time. I need you to be perfectly fine by evening."

Ayana softly said, "I want to talk to you about something."

Abir, raising an eyebrow, gestured with his hand, "What?"

Hesitating, Ayana said, "Please, let me talk to my family just once."

Hearing this, Abir's eyes turned cold. He approached Ayana and grabbed a fistful of her hair, lifting her face to meet his.

In a chilling voice, he said, "You shouldn't ever speak of this again. Understand? Otherwise, you'll regret it. You won't talk to anyone without my permission." With that, he suddenly let her go and left the room.
