Synopsis

Auxiliary Info.

[This chapter has some basic informations regarding the human-history, world-building and somethings to keep in mind while reading the book]

—×For the ease of mind, you can think of it like the story is set on a distant future×—

Human-histroy:

—Homo-Celestains

A long time ago, Homo sapiens underwent a sudden evolution, and while this evolution didn't change their appearance from that of their ancestral species, it gave them superpowers. They called this new stage Homo-Celestians.

—Shades:

A pure form of energy that Homo-Celestians are born with in their eyes. It allows them to perform different tasks depending on its type, even if those tasks defy the laws of physics. They can be activated and deactivated at the user's will, and the eye color changes upon activation.

—Sub-species of Homo-Celestians:

After the evolution, the human species began spreading across the universe, as the Shades had given them a sudden boost in development. When new humans (Homo-Celestians) started being born on planets other than Earth, they discovered that only babies born on Earth were born with Shades, dividing the species into two subspecies.

i) Star-Childs: Humans born with Shades.

ii) Pure-Childs: Humans not born with Shades.

×—Pure-Childs can also use Shades if they are transplanted into their eyes, but they are not born with them

—The Betrayal War:

For eons, the Homo-Celestians ruled the entire universe, with the Star-Childs guiding the Pure-Childs, reaching one unseen horizon after another. One day, however, they discovered that Earth—the mother planet—had begun to lose its environment, becoming increasingly harsh for life to sustain. Shades, the rarest form of energy in the universe, were the very force that had propelled humankind to the top of the universal food chain, as they were the only species capable of controlling them. This made Earth even more critical. But while terraforming was a familiar task for humans, they hesitated to act hastily. Their technology, mostly reliant on Shades, risked stripping Earth of its unique properties.

In the end, it was decided that the Star-Childs would temporarily leave Earth and address the situation from an external perspective. That was when the steel clashed—the Pure-Childs launched a surprise attack, declaring a universal war against the Star-Childs, with control over Earth as the prize for the victor.

Though the Star-Childs lost the war, they managed to preserve Earth's hold and sever their ties with the outer worlds (the Pure-Childs), continuing to live in isolation. This grand conflict became known as 'The Betrayal War.'

—Calendar & the Names of Civilizations:

Keeping a precise record of time becomes increasingly difficult as the scale of space expands in the universe. The most well-known reasons for this are time dilation and differences in the motion of celestial bodies. As a result, although the Star-Childs manage to maintain a good-enough record of the post-Betrayal War era, the records of earlier times remain vague. The Pure-Childs face similar challenges, but their difficulties are compounded by the vastness of their domain and their inability to maintain consistent records of the current era, let alone the previous one.

Currently, the Star-Childs use a calendar similar to the Gregorian calendar—once used during the rule of Homo sapiens on Earth—with the major difference being the use of 'AB' for counting their centuries and years. AB stands for 'After Betrayal.' Two centuries have passed since the Betrayal War, and they are now in the third century AB.

Different terms are used to denote time periods or regions where specific events occur, with the three major terms being:

i) HC-Dynasty—standing for Homo-Celestians Dynasty—refers to the time from the evolution of Homo sapiens into Homo-Celestians up to the Betrayal War. This period is also called 'The Old Era' or 'The Previous Era.'

ii) SC-Dynasty—standing for Star-Childs Dynasty—refers to the entire solar system. Although the Star-Childs control the entire solar system, they only reside on Earth.

iii) PC-Dynasty—standing for Pure-Childs Dynasty—refers to every region of the universe, both discovered and undiscovered, excluding the SC-Dynasty.

×—These terms can also be reversed, such as SC-Dynasty being pronounced as Dynasty-SC, though the meaning remains the same. This applies to the other terms as well.

P.s.- this chapter is still being updated, as I still haven't finished with some of the adjustments. But the serialisation will start soon, so stick around and add it to your library if you have found it to have potential. Thank you.
