The Axe was even more impressive in person. Baring a white axe head with a thin blue line running through the middle, the handle was of a strange wood, light red in color with intricate carvings along the base. Holding the axe in his hands, Yaren could tell that it had been crafted painstakingly with great care. Most items for sale in the open air bazaar were of run-of-the-mill quality, with a handful of decent items making rounds each day. Items of Unique or higher are typically only found within private stores or auctions. Taking a second to look at the items description using his system he was eager to see what secrets the weapon held.

"It's impressive." Yaren didn't know how the economy worked yet, but he knew that 100 Platinum was no scoffable amount. He drew out 5 coins before using his thumb to flip them into the hands of Kumcha.
The gnomes eyes lit up at sudden fortune he had struck. The wealthy disparity in the world of Divinia was almost nonsensical, those who were poor were truly well and poor, with very few having a "moderate" amount of wealth. The rich were had exorbitant amounts of wealth, and surprisingly there was a significant portion of the world who are considered to have great value, with those who are truly showered in treasures treating the "rich" as common folk. Kumcha happily accepted the amount he was offered, and it was more than a fair deal. Unknowingly, if sold elsewhere it would most likely not be bought for anymore than a singular Platinum and some gold.
Yaren paused for a second before asking the two if they had any armor or equipment for sale. They did, though it was all of low quality, he did find a set of leather armor made out of a Copper Boa. The armor wasn't super defensive, but it would help tremendously against glancing blows. It was also very well insulated so he would be able to stay warm, and maintain his mobility flawlessly.
Yaren thanked the two before turning to leave. The Gnome gratefully asked Yaren for his name, which he obliged. Profusely expressing his thankfulness he said that Yaren would be considered a great benefactor, as welcome to his shop once he finally acquired it.
Yaren recalled how important potions and other miscellaneous tools and goods were stressed to him by the Elders, as well as Skrid during his fishing trip turned sour. He asked a guard to show him where he could purchase adventuring supplies, being turned towards a section of the market that was lined with large buildings, each selling its own specialty of goods or services. This part of the market was centered around the Norn City Adventurers Guild, and the other subset of Factions that existed in this part of the world. Yaren wasn't told to much about it, as his situation allowed him little time to explore such things. He hoped that in the future when he was strong enough to venture on his own he would be able to sign up and go on grand quests, earning glory and fortune.
After buying a few healing potions and provisions to assist him in times of need he decided to try some of street food scattered around the market. He approached what looked like some sort of sandwich shop, the freshly cooking meat and the aroma of spices and herbs assaulted his senses, causing a rumble in his stomach as he stood in line waiting for his turn. As his turn arrived he looked around for a place to eat after his order, noticing a beautiful fountain with two kids who appeared to be orphans. They were huddled together splitting a piece of moldy bread. Unaware as to why, the sight of the two children struck a chord deep within his soul, the sight felt familiar to him, causing him to purchase an extra couple of sandwich from the vendor before making his way over towards the children. As he mad his way towards the two he was keenly aware of the looks and whispers other people had given him as he drew nearer to the two. He hadn't quite caught it before, but the people in the market seemed to be avoiding the kids.
He approached the two children, a young girl and a boy, assumingly her brother of whom was slightly older in age. The girl seemed to try to ignore Yarens and Asenas presence entirely, however the boy boldly looked the two Beasts directly in the eyes, a hint of defiance flashing before he recoiled as the dog like man handed him a sandwich.
"Eat it. Here, for you also." Yaren said as he handed the other one to the young girl.
Yaren could tell the boy wanted to reject the aid from such a dangerous looking stranger, but his sense of self-preservation won out. Yaren couldn't help but chuckle in amazement as he watched the young boy wolf down his food, as his sister delicately picked at the sandwich as if savoring each bite.
"Thank you Mister.." is all the young boy said as he watched his sister continue eating. Yaren took his time eating, he didn't have much to do today besides go to where Fragnir had planned for him.
"Mister.. are you injured?" The young boy asked as Yaren climbed onto Asena from the side of the fountain as he finished eating.
"No, I will be fine shortly." Yaren said as he flipped a platinum coin towards each of the children. This act of kindness nearly caused the boy to faint as the young girl swiftly grabbed the two coins, and storing them somewhere as If they had never even been there. The swiftness of the young child caught him off guard. He threw up a thumb as he prodded Asena to take him wherever she was supposed to when the young boy grabbed the sleeve of Yarens trousers.
"T-thank you sir." The boy leaned in close as he whispered a few words to Yaren, the fear in his voice apparent. "Y-y-your being watched Mister. They been following you since I've first seent you. Those people are dangerous Mister. We are Mirk and Dia.. we won't forget you mister.." As soon as he finished speaking, the young boy who Yaren assumed was Mirk watched as he grabbed the arm of Dia and sped off towards an alleyway not to far behind.
Yaren watched the two rush off, his brows furrowed in contemplation as he observed his surroundings. He could sense the hostility towards him the moment he stepped foot out into the city, however he assumed it was just due to his existence as a monster. The words of the boy made him feel like as he was being targeted now, yet he couldn't think of any reason why someone would be interested in him.
"What do you think girl?" He said as Asena meandered her way through the streets, her destination unclear. She was always on guard when they were walking about the city, yet she didn't seem to be any more on edge than she usually was. Her eyes stayed forward as her ears twisted and pointed in different directions as she listened closely. Not showing any immediate concern Yaren decided he would set it to the side for now as his palms subconsciously rested on the handles of his war axes.
It seemed to take a large chunk of the day before they finally reached where they were heading. Yaren frowned as he noted the position of the sun in the sky as he looked towards row of buildings in front of him. Asena had led him to what would in all likelihood be considered the rough area of the city. There were several roving gangs of young kids and teens who eyes up the two, with small groups of thugs and bandits sitting by tables or just within doorways watching their every move. Never one to back down, Yaren confronted these gazes with a challenging grin. Slowly whistling a tune he pulled an axe from his waist, twirling the axe by its head around his finger. He felt smug as he smoothly pulled off the little trick he had been working on in his freebie, and it seemed to work as his confident demeanor deterred the hooligans from disturbing him.
Although none of the thugs directly opposed Yaren, they did follow him through what was called "The Roughs" that is, until they became aware of what door he was approaching. Just as Asena stopped infront of a house that was in significantly better condition then the rest yet still dilapidated by all accounts, Yaren turned back to regard the thugs. Shocked to see them all leaving and paying him no mind, Yaren couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. Who ever Fragnir planned on having him meet was obviously very well regarded in this section of the city.
