Chapter 7 - Martial Art

"Die! Your piece of shit!"

Jiang Ye laughed as he connected his fist to Officer Qin's face. He rained him with punches as Officer Qin blocked them all.

"Hmph! Not enough!" Officer Qin then rained him with counterpunches.

Meanwhile, Long Ziwu, Yang Shan, the remaining three officers, and the other bystanders had their mouths wide open in disbelief. It has been exactly 10 minutes since they started fighting and it has not ended yet. No, on the contrary, both parties are becoming stronger and stronger.

On the other side, Jiang Ye, the slave who was being arrested for violating the Lord's Decree by colluding with Old Man Zhao and practicing martial cultivation, was currently in a battered condition. He was panting heavily, his body full of bruises but his eyes were full of fire and determination. "Come on! Is that all you got!?"

"You are an arrogant man!"

On the other hand, the leader and head of the officers, Officer Qin, was also extremely battered and exhausted. His martial robe is tattered and can't be recognized anymore. However, just as the same as Jiang Ye, his eyes were fiery as he wanted more brawl. It has been many years since he fought someone like Jiang Ye, a man who not only rivals him in power but also unbreaking, willing to go toe to toe against without backing out. This was the exact opponent he had been searching for, and now that he found it, he was completely inclined to continue this brawl until both of them were satisfied. At this moment, Officer Qin did not care about his position anymore. He just wanted to get a satisfying fight.

Then, both of them burst in at the same time, releasing punches and blocking them simultaneously. Jiang Ye sent a kick, targeting Officer Qin's neck, but the latter immediately crouched down and sent an uppercut that made Jiang Ye extremely dizzy. It felt as though his brain just vibrated.

Jiang Ye shook his head, removing the dizziness before preparing for a counterattack. He attacked his opponent again by sending an extremely fast punch that connected to the officer's forehead.

Officer Qin stumbled backward but didn't fall. He touched his forehead and felt like his brain just moved up and down. "This bastard." He mumbled.

Their brawl continued for another 5 minutes before they paused for a moment, their distance about 7 meters between each other. Jiang Ye was glaring at Officer Qin, panting so hard. He felt extremely exhausted, every muscle in his body screaming pain. But he just clenched his fist, enduring the warnings, readying himself to fight again.

Meanwhile, Officer Qin also stopped for a moment. But unlike Jiang Ye, there was an evil grin plastered on his face. "This is enough. It is time to end this!"

"But you can't even overwhelm me!" Jiang Ye laughed, but deep inside he had some doubts. It seems Officer Qin was still hiding some tricks in his sleeves. What could it be?

"Ready for round 6?"

"I am more than ready old man," Jiang Ye taunted.

"I—" Officer Qin shouted. "—am not an old man!"

Officer Qin ran toward him, his fist ready to get released. For some reason, Jiang Ye felt something was wrong but he didn't know what was it. He will just take him head-on anyway regardless of whatever tricks he does.

In just an instant, Officer Qin was already in front of him. But Jiang Ye was ready, he had already learned from the previous encounters. However, instead of throwing a punch immediately, it looked as though Officer Qin took a deep breath and his forearm suddenly bulged, veins revealing themselves.

"Not good!"

Bang! Crack!

Officer Qin's fist connected to his chest, causing Jiang Ye to fly away for several meters. He spat out blood and he felt that several bones in his ribs were broken.

Jiang Ye was extremely shocked and felt extreme pain. If it was slightly stronger than that, Officer Qin's fist might have penetrated his chest and killed him instantly. His heart was beating extremely fast, fear filling his entire body. What in the world just happened!?

Officer Qin slowly approached Jiang Ye while having a conceited smile. "Don't you have anything to say? Cat got your tongue?"

"What the hell did you do!?" Jiang Ye said, his face still full of shock.

"Oh, looks like you do not know huh?" Officer Qin sneered. "It was a Martial Art, you fool."

Martial Art? Jiang Ye narrowed his eyes, finally understanding what just happened. If cultivation techniques were manuals to train and improve cultivation, gain strength for the long term, and even possibly increase lifespan, Martial Arts was kind of a technique that integrates and circulates spiritual energy stored in the body uniquely depending on its use. Martial Arts massively increase the strength of an individual for a short period, for example, what Officer Qin did just a few moments ago consumed spiritual energy and strengthened his entire arm, including his fist, in just an instant to create a powerful force that can demolish the opponent.

There were different types of Martial Art, what Qin demonstrated earlier was a strength-type Martial Art. Other than strength-type was movement-type, defense-type, and more. Far superior Martial Arts naturally has more effects but Jiang Ye currently did not know that.

"I see, so it was a Martial Art, huh?" Jiang Ye cursed. "That was…unexpected."

"If you don't want to die, you should go with me now and cooperate with us. I will persuade the Lord to lessen your punishment."

"Fine," Jiang Ye nodded. "But only if you beat me for the last time."

Officer Qin frowned when he heard this. "You still wanted to fight?"

"Of course," Jiang Ye rose himself up as he plastered a confident smile on his face. "Shall we fight for the last time, then?"

"Alright," Officer Qin, not knowing what to do with this guy and he did not know what he was planning. However, since Jiang Ye agreed to go with him if he defeated him again, then he had no choice but to go with it. After all, is there anything Jiang Ye can still do? With his Martial Art, Blood Condensation Fist Art?

"Alright then," Jiang Ye posed into a fighting stance, ready for more. "Let us now begin!"
