I sat there, my mind still processing the news, my hand gently cradling my stomach as though it might make the reality of it all sink in more easily. I was pregnant.
I was going to have a child with Kieran and it felt so surreal. I often thought about Isabella and whether she would be happy with this change. Would she continue to be timid or stay in a loveless marriage with Nicholas?
I have no idea. But I was glad that I was here now, to change things around the place. Now, I found love in this life, and I was never going to let go of that.
Then there was the system. It had been with me since my rebirth, guiding me through all the tasks and challenges and offering advice and support. Now, I could feel its presence again, in my mind where it stayed the most.
