Evening came quickly and I was just heading to my room when I saw captain Gerard. He walked over to me with a pleasant smile on his face that I returned.
"Hello princess Isabella, I trust your day was okay?" He asked. I stopped, offering Captain Gerard a small smile in return.
"It was fine, thank you, Captain," I replied, my voice soft yet formal. "And yours?"
He nodded, his eyes kind yet sharp, always observing. "Productive, as usual. Do take care of yourself." He nodded before he left. I continued to make my way to my room, hoping that I could take a shower and get some rest.
Once I arrived there, I was about to close the door when an arm shot out, stopping me.
I jumped a little from fright but when I saw that it was Kieran, I breathed a sigh of relief.
"I was calling your name." He said while chuckling.
