immediately after the system voice stopped speaking the system panel changed. It now had several more categories available than it use to. including a personal information tab.
Curious about what all of these new functions were Priscus took his time combing through each one.
*System Tabs:
Personal +
Gladiators +
Staff+
Structures+
Store+
Quests+
Utilities+*
The only tab Priscus recognized was the utilities tab, it was what used to hold all of his banking and medical information. And was used to complete pretty much every mundane task required of him.
He could make schedules, set appointments, pay bills, take out loans, surf the web, anything he needed could be done with this tab.
Everything else was brand new to him so he decided to simply start at the top and work his way down.
Pressing on the + sign next to the Personal tab, a new page of information was presented to him.

Priscus was very thankful for the descriptions as they answered most of the questions he had. One thing he didn't know was what the true cost to activate any of his abilities were.
There was only one active skill that even mentioned a cost for activation.
"Hey system, why do none of my skills mention a cost for activation but one?"
*That is because your talent is of Exalted rank, literally the highest rank there is. That talent comes with many benefits, but takes a while before it gets to full power.
At each rank up your skills will improve and you will probably develop new skills along the way. This is only the beginning.*
Priscus was taken aback, the skills he had now would already be considered absurd were anyone to find out about them. Simply being able to actually see a gladiators potential would save him from ever wasting money again.
but he had not only that but the ability to improve that potential, and even break something called a gene lock. He didn't know what that was but he was sure that it would be something good.
Moving on he decided to look at the next tab Gladiators. This one he was rather nervous about. These were the last two fighters his family had contracts with. If both had terrible potential he didn't know what he would do.
'Here goes nothing....actually everything.' he thought morbidly.
*Gladiators:
Kaius:
Race: low Human(rank 1)
Rank - 1
level - 7(17/100%)
Vitality: 1.7
Control: 1.5
Spirit: 1.6
Potential - D class(Potentials are ranked in classes from F to SSS for a total of 9 classes. An individual with a D class will only ever be able to reach rank 3, not even surpassing the basic mortal realm into the heroic realm. And to even reach rank 3 will be very difficult. Additionally the higher the potential, the faster the growth. A D class potential will grow twice as fast as an E class, the same is true for every class up and down the spectrum. Finally the Higher the potential the faster the three main stats will improve. A level 5 A class will be far stronger than any level 5 of any class below itself.
Rank 1 lvl 1-10
Rank 2 lvl 11-25
Rank 3 lvl 26-50
Rank 4 lvl 51-100
Rank 5 lvl 101-200
Rank 6 lvl 201-400
Rank 7 lvl 401-800
Rank 8 lvl 801-1200
Rank 9 lvl 1201-2000)
Skills: Basic Sword Mastery-lvl 3(Increases Sword damage by 15% Attack speed by 15%)
Basic Murmillo combat style-lvl 3(A set of combat techniques used by the Murmillo class of gladiators. Each level improves technique efficiency and power by 5%)
Equipment: F Class Murmillo set(All stats + .025, includes all the standard armor and weapons of the Murmillo class(Equipment follows the same principle as potential, each increase in class doubles their respective power. Upon reaching C class, equipment may also begin to provide additional bonuses)
******************************************************************************
Icarus:
Race: Low Human (rank 1)
Rank: 1
Level: 9(43/100%)
Vitality: 2.8
Control: 2.4
Spirit: 2.7
Potential- C Class(Attributes improve by .2 per level, training efficiency increased by 20%)
Skills: Basic Spear Mastery- lvl 5(Increases Spear damage/attack speed by 25%)
Basic Veles Combat style- lvl 5(A set of combat techniques used by the Veles class of gladiators. Each level improves technique efficiency and power by 5%)
Equipment: F Class Veles Set(All stats + .025)*
This was way more information than Priscus bargained for. While the descriptions were again very helpful. This time they caused him to have more questions than they answered.
For example, what was a low human? Could the race be upgraded or changed? How was he going to obtain better than F class equipment, why didn't his profile mention his own potential? Would his talents stack with the gladiators own talents when he tried to train them?
Thankfully before his mind could wander too far the system came to him with the answers.
*Low humans are those who have not yet broken their first Gene lock and advanced to Mid-Low humans which is a rank 2 race. There are some areas of the universe where humans are born as Mid humans which are rank 4.
The rank of a race could be classified nearly the same as the potential of an individual, but it has a multiplicative effect. For example a Rank 3 High-Low Human with 2 gene locks removed would have 20 base stats in all three categories.
Additionally each one point would no longer represent only 100lbs, or 100years, or 10% better reaction speed. Each gene lock broken increases the efficiency of each attribute point by 100%. 100lbs becomes 200lbs, 10% becomes 20%, and thats for just the first unlock. For the second at rank 3 200lbs becomes 300lbs, 20% becomes 30% and so on until rank 9 Perfect Human.
The race can never be changed but as you can see it can be upgraded by breaking gene locks. One of the reasons I bonded to you was your body was entirely free of biomechanical influence.
As soon as a person decides to augment themselves with bio-machinery they can no longer organically break their gene locks, and will be stuck with trying to improve themselves via biomechanics for the rest of their lives.
Equipment can be purchased in the system store with prestige points, or you can purchase a crafting talent and make them yourself.
Your potential wasn't mentioned because it cannot be measured. An entirely new Class would need to be made for you, and I don't currently have access to all of my functions so I cannot display it for you. This potential is directly correlated with your talent. And that talent only awakened today so give it some time.
Finally yes your talents stack, so if you were to train Icarus his efficiency would go from 20% to 40% as your 100% increase would double his potentials power.*
Priscus was speechless, in spite of all the system had shown him up to this point he still didn't expect such detailed answers. What troubled him even more was the fact that he still had four more tabs to go through.
But just before he was about to continue someone knocked on his door. Quickly recomposing himself and dismissing the system window he called out.
"Come in."
The door opened quietly to reveal Kaius entering the room. He was roughly 5ft 9in tall, 180lbs and was well muscled. His hair was a dull brown which hung loosely down to his shoulders, his gray blue eyes showing a hint of disdain and contempt when they looked upon the young boy who had just become his master.
Priscus sensing the veiled hostility spoke up.
"What can I do for you Kaius? I have not yet had time to schedule meetings with anyone."
Kaius scoffed and said "There is no need dominus, I have been contacted by the Claudius family. They want to buy out my contract and I am here to request that you sell it to them."
It took a few moments for Priscus to recover from the shock, Kaius had been loyal to the family for quite a while, years in fact. Even turning down other offers just like the one he mentioned now. So the only question on Priscus' mind was.
"Why?"
