"Now, I need you to pick three people to join the planning. Since it's a small space, we don't have enough room, so the rest will stay behind and relay the information to you," Blaise said, repeating the exact words Legion had told him to say.
It's not just about not having enough room; it's a better plan of action, and it won't make us seem suspicious to the other villagers and orcs. These people already have eyes on them because of their past actions.
"Three steps up and the rest you are able to leave." Blaise orders, but you can still notice his trembling hands from all the attraction he was gaining from the people.
I guess it still takes time for you to get accustomed to such things. But soon if he continues he'll become greater than me I'm sure of it.
"I volunteer. My name is Vlad " The same old man raises his hands.
"Me too. Agnis." An old woman raises her hands as well.
"I do as well. I'm Leo." Another man joins in and the three are easily established without any hindrance, and the rest leaves.
Cinder, would you mind giving me your x-ray vision for the period of this meeting?
"I wouldn't but why?" He immediately activates it and passes it to Legion and is immediately surprised as he looks around. "I understand now. What are you planning on doing?"
I'll wait until the meeting is over to address that situation, since I have a clue what is going to happen right after.
Cinder's expression shifted, his usual confidence faltering as his voice dropped to a softer, more somber tone. "Do you understand what you'll have to do?" He pauses, eyes searching for any sign of hesitation. "Are you ready for that, when it comes?"
I have done it many times, so why would it hurt me now?
Cinder keeps quiet, his head slightly dropping.
"Shall we begin?" Legion turns back to face them, his gaze steady. "Morgan." She nods in acknowledgment. "Blaise." He gave a sharp nod. "Noctis." She follows suit with a nod of her own. "The rest of you?" One by one, they shook their heads. Legion exhales, his expression resolute. "Then, let's start."
"Our first priority should be taking care of the people of the village and making sure they are safe during all of this." Morgan starts off, and as always she's worried about the people and the kids.
"The safest places are in the houses." The lady Angis says.
"Nope, it's in the mines." Vlad chimes in.
"He has a point." Blaise also adds. " The mines are built to be stable for us to work. Everyday the orcs come in and locate safe spots for us to work on."
That's right, because how could they have their precious servants die on them. And if the mines collapses how could they get their gems to store our magic in.
"But how can we get the people there without getting notice?" Nocits asks an obvious question.
"A diversion." Leo interjects. "If we can get the attention of all the orcs but at least most we can have some of the people carry them to the mines while the rest try to take down the others which gathered at the diversion location."
"That is a good idea." Legions ponder on it a bit more. "We need potions and traps though lots of them because how can we defeat all of them by ourselves. Thankfully, we already have weapons, our pickaxes."
"The potions, I can help with. Maybe some combusting positions, explosive ones might work for the diversion. Though we need a place that is relatively far from their base so they won't notice the people moving to it." Noctis says proudly.
"My place should be fine," Legion said flatly. "We'll use mines to get their attention, set up minor traps around them to throw them off, then fight them off. The traps will be set around my house." He glanced at Morgan. "You wouldn't mind if we spent a few nights at your place, would you?"
"Not at all." she waves her hand dismissively.
"I'll establish the men for trap making." Leo adds to Legion's words. "Around five would be enough right? Will you take the lead in building them?"
"Yeah." He nods.
I've built many traps for war, so this wouldn't be hard at all.
"And with the potions, Noctis would you mind if I and a few other ladies joined you in making it?" Lady Angis questions.
"Oh I will love the extra hands!" Noctis cheers.
"And to gather the people together on the selected day I'll host a tavern party, which everyone would go to. Then me, Jaxon and Vlad, if you don't mind, should take the people to the mines." Morgan inquires.
"So, to sum it all up," Legion continues, "we've got a few key tasks on deck. Blaise, Leo, and I, along with five others, will handle setting up the traps. Noctis, Agnis, and their team are in charge of brewing potions, prepping the explosives, and working on the boosters. And Vlad, Morgan—you two are responsible for gathering and transporting the people to safety."
And on top of that I have to level up. Plus take care of this lingering trouble.
"Yes." They all nod.
"Alright then, the meeting is over."
Cinder!-
"Already on it!" Cinder moves towards the door and passes through it.
"Morgan, I have something urgent to do, so go home without me!" Legion shouts, dropping the pouch of snowdrops on the desk for Noctis.
"Ok!"
"Noctis, Blasie. Exchange the items to make the potion, I'm off!" He leaps over the table with ease as everyone watches him in confusion.
"Alright!" Blaise shouts behind as the door opens and closes.
"What's up with him?" Lady Angis voices.
"I don't know…" Morgan says a bit concerned.
"It's the new Legion, what isn't wrong with him." Noctis fixes her glasses.
