While Dante continues his path to Arkham, reaching the top of the tower, he finds a portal. He enters to see that inside is a dark room. After a while, the lights turn on, and a shadow begins to manifest on the wall from Dante's shadow. Then, the lights start to turn off.
Dante looks at the shadow and says: "I know why you're here. You're here to ask me some questions." The shadow disappears, and Dante turns around to see the shadow again, telling it: "But too bad, I've already answered them myself. I don't need you anymore." The shadow, taking the form of Dante in devil trigger state, begins to draw a sword from its back. Seeing this, Dante prepares to fight while gesturing to provoke it and says: "Come on, you damn imposter." And the fight begins.
After battling with the shadow, using the lights to weaken it, Dante sees how the shadow starts to fade and slips into his own shadow. Seeing that the fight is over, Dante jokes: "I thought I lost my shadow for a second." Then, with a glow, his shadow manifests in front of him, taking on its identical form. Dante punches towards it, and they clash fists, staring at each other before proceeding to exchange blows, each hitting the other. After a while of trading blows, Dante sees the shadow return to its original position and sighs in satisfaction: "Mm!"

After exiting the portal, Dante reaches the top of the tower.
Dante positions himself in the center of the top and looks up, seeing a crack in the sky opening, he says: "Well then, let's wrap up this crazy party." Then the crack begins to absorb Dante, and he says: "Alright? We have to clean up the mess Dad left."
After entering through the crack, Dante sees a black-and-white world and starts advancing while killing demons, eventually reaching a portal and seeing an area resembling a chessboard where more demons appear, shaped like chess pieces.
After defeating the demons, he enters a portal and returns to the black-and-white world, continuing his search for Arkham.
As he advances, he sees a wall that needs something to open. To break through, Dante has to defeat the enemies he fought before, so after Dante fights the demons again—Cerberus, Agni and Rudra, Beowulf, and Nevan.
After opening a portal with the now-complete wall, he decides to enter. Upon entering, he sees a world shrouded in darkness, with blood on the floor. After a while, new demons begin to appear, and Dante starts to fight.
To reach Arkham, Dante moves from the dark world to a world with mirrors, then to another world with a clock in the center, before finally returning to the black-and-white world and seeing a door.

After passing through the door, Dante sees water flowing toward the center of the world. As Dante walks toward the center, suddenly, a sword attacks him from behind. Dante blocks the sword with Rebellion, then turns around and points his sword at the enemy in front of him.
Arkham speaks and says to Dante: "Welcome. What do you think after seeing the image of your father?"
Dante looks at him and replies: "It's like staring at a clogged toilet."
With a complaint, Dante says: "Why do you always meddle in other people's business? Come on, man, don't you have any hobbies?"
Arkham laughs, and moments later, Dante starts laughing too, with both of them laughing together.
Arkham stops laughing and says: "Will you still mock me after contemplating this?"
Arkham begins to change shape and says: "I feel the power of the devil overflowing in my body! The power of Sparda!" Then Arkham takes the form of a large drop, with tentacles as arms.
Dante observes him and comments: "Buddy, my father wasn't that horrible." Then he turns his sword to see his reflection in the blade and jokes: "Don't you realize just by looking at me?" He stops looking at himself and adds: "Anyway, that figure suits you better." After that, he prepares to fight and says: "Let's start with the main event!"
After fighting Arkham, the two separate, and Dante, a bit tired, watches as Arkham launches a hand at him while saying: "It's useless! No matter how strong you are, you're nothing but a half-breed. You can't defeat a pure demon, the true Sparda!"
Before the hand reaches Dante, it is cut off. Arkham, surprised, exclaims: "What is this?" Looking up, he sees Vergil on a pillar. Arkham, seeing him, says: "Damn you!"
Vergil looks at him and, holding Yamato, says: "I've come to reclaim my power." Then he jumps from the pillar and says: "You can't control it." Vergil lands near Dante and points Yamato at him. Dante observes and comments: "Look at you, making a grand dramatic entrance and stealing my thunder."
Vergil replies: "Well… You don't think he deserves to be our main event, do you?" and turns to point Yamato at Arkham.
Dante tells him: "Now that you mention it, you're right." Then he also prepares to fight Arkham.
Arkham, seeing the two approaching together, says: "Do you think you can defeat me? Defeat the power of your father? The great Sparda?"
Vergil points at him and says: "You should realize you can't control the power of Sparda."
Dante also points at him with Rebellion and says: "You're wasting your time, buddy. I think he should learn the hard way."
