Ray began the intricate process of channeling mana into his dragon veins, his body immediately reacting to the unfamiliar energy. A wave of searing pain coursed through him, his form trembling as he pushed forward. The incompatibility between mana and dragon energy(Primal energy) was apparent, with each substance vastly different in nature and composition. Yet, Ray persisted, his determination unwavering.
As the mana flowed through his veins, they began to heat up, an intense burning sensation overtaking him. However, after each cycle of mana's passage, the temperature dropped, allowing the veins to gradually adapt. This painful yet transformative process had an unforeseen benefit: Ray's veins grew thicker and wider, becoming more robust and capable of handling greater energy loads.
Finally, Ray succeeded in circulating mana throughout his entire body. The enhancement was immediate and profound, his already powerful physique became even more resilient. When he directed the mana outward, letting it flow from his palm into his sword, the weapon flared to life with volatile energy. Though visually similar to when he used primal energy, the mana's output was more calm and expansive, revealing a multitude of new possibilities.
Luna's voice rang out in his mind, laced with pride and playfulness.
[Our Ray is now a magic swordsman, the first of his kind. Make sure to thank your mentor for this extraordinary feat.] expecting some praise but...
Ray, however, ignored her, his focus unwavering as he began implementing the Line technique.
He stood, opening his mental space. Within his mind, he envisioned bolts of lightning cascading in every direction, their chaotic arcs grounding him deeper in his understanding of the element. Each flash illuminated the intricacies of lightning's nature, its speed, its destructiveness, and the raw, uncontainable power it embodied.
When Ray opened his eyes, they sparked with an electric intensity. Channeling lightning mana through his body, he activated his Mana Coating, his form radiating an aura that crackled with power. The sword in his hand thrummed with energy, its tip glowing as he concentrated mana into a single point. Around him, the air seemed to shift, charged with both attraction and repulsion as the lightning mana generated a magnetic-like field.
Ray unleashed the energy in a downward slash, targeting the central pillar. The attack moved faster than the eye could follow, its sheer velocity and destructive force tearing a clean, gaping hole through the pillar. The residual energy continued forward, smashing into the far wall with such force that it almost collapsed.
Even Ray was stunned. Despite executing the technique himself, he hadn't been able to track its movement. A satisfied smile spread across his face as he stood amidst the aftermath of his attack.
"This will do," he murmured to himself,
naming the technique,
Ray Style First Sword: Flash.
His own techniques, named after himself and only he could use them...he was excited about new techniques he would be creating.
After composing his thoughts, Ray left the hall. Though he was unaware, the feat he had just accomplished, mastering a technique of such caliber, was something that would have taken even the most gifted prodigies years. Ray had achieved it in mere hours.
As he stepped outside, the sky was tinged with the deep hues of evening. Time had slipped away unnoticed. With a hurried stride, he made his way back to his room, a renewed sense of purpose fueling him for the days ahead.

Sullivan sat in his office, reading a letter delivered to him by a spirit bird seemingly from the Council. Throughout the content of the letter, his face becomes more and more tense...The end of it might be some grim news as he immediately burns the paper and had a menacing look.
Sullivan called out his most trusted companions, Myra, Gerald, and Klaus.
They all responded to the call, all of them arrived almost immediately, with Yen and Serena accompanying them. Seeing them Sullivan didn't hold back as he started explaining about the situation. He said,
"It has begun, and we don't have much time. Currently, night owls of the Borris family are sent for more surveillance and information, but as far as I can think, we only have about a year and a half before it all begins."
Serena spoke,
"We are still at utmost disadvantage even after all these years, assuming the information we have collected is accurate...we need to increase our quality instead of our numbers."
"I agree. We still have no way to counter the upper echelon, I think we should...." Myra was cut short when Yen opened his mouth to speak
"We will train a special force with people having ARCANE powers, those who are blessed."
No one in the room could discard the statement when Sullivan spoke,
"Make all the necessary preparations, You have 4 months to select the candidates, I'll talk to the Council."
Students who had just begun their academic journey would be in for a Shock.
