The first test continued, its momentum growing with every prodigious candidate stepping forward. The noble families shone brightly, presenting some of the academy's most astonishing results yet.
Zinni Silvus, a blonde-haired youth known as the rising star among magicians, the daughter of Grande Silvus, is at the peak of the Battle Mage realm and has an arsenal of spells, stood tall as Myra announced her results:
"Mana Quality: Pristine. Mana Quantity: Tier 3. Quadruple Element."
Gasps echoed through the crowd, murmurs of admiration rippling like waves. Zinni stepped down, her expression calm, exuding an air of unshakable confidence.
Next was Xavier Livia, twin brother to the elven princess, Katherine. His striking features and composed demeanor made him stand out. He approached the orb, his steps light as a breeze, which seemed fitting when Myra declared:
"Mana Quality: Excellent. Mana Quantity: Tier 3. Wind Deviant."
Though not as jaw-dropping as Zinni's, his results were nothing short of impressive. The Livia siblings were proving their lineage with each test. With half the candidates done testing, expectations were really high for coming candidates.
Then came a pair that stole the crowd's breath entirely. As they removed their hoods, Lily Dragonborne and Henry Dragonborne the same lineage as the legendary hero Nathan van Dragonborne.
Henry, with his striking crimson eyes and dark blue hair, approached first. His presence was commanding yet calm, and when he placed his hand on the orb, it flared up intensely. Myra's voice faltered for a moment before she composed herself:
"Primal Energy Quality: Pristine. Primal Energy Quantity: Tier 4. Unique Deviant: Gravity attunement."
The entire testing area buzzed with astonishment. Gravity as a deviant element was extremely rare, and to achieve Tier 4 with such quality spoke of his Grandmaster-level mastery. Klaus, sitting in Sullivan's spatial chamber, turned to Gerald.
"Quite a monster the Dravis has risen," he remarked, his tone a mix of awe and intrigue.
Henry stepped back, his face calm but carrying an unmistakable pride.
Next was Lily, her grace commanding attention as she walked forward. Her delicate features, Blue hair that cascaded down to her waist, and crimson eyes captivated all, but it was the moment her hand touched the orb that sent shockwaves through the entire academy.
The orb flared brilliantly, an unusual mix of white and black swirling violently. Even Myra, unflinching until now, stood up.
"Primal Energy Quality: Mythic. Primal Energy Quantity: Tier 4. Dual Attunement: Light and Dark."
Gasps and whispers turned into full-blown chaos. A swordsman attuned to two elements? This was unprecedented in the history of Helios.
Klaus and Gerald, who had been content watching from above, immediately descended to the testing area. They exchanged glances, confusion, and excitement evident in their expressions. Even Katherine Livia, usually composed, leaned toward her royal guard, her lips moving as she asked about the implications of dual-attuned swordsmen.
In the crowd, Lewis Krios gripped his spear tightly, and his competitive spirit ignited. Zinni Silvus maintained her indifferent facade, though her gaze lingered on Lily for a moment longer than necessary.
Even Ray who had closed his eyes while using his skill meditation, opened his eyes for the first time after Katherine's results, gazed around Lily and thinking something to himself, and chuckled, closing his eyes again.
The buzz eventually died down as the test continued. Clea Borris, a striking girl with purple hair and eyes, displayed a rare mastery in multiple weapons: sword, dagger, and bow. Her results were:
"Primal Energy Quality: Pristine. Primal Energy Quantity: Tier 3. Darkness Deviant."
Her versatility drew admiration, and whispers of her future potential filled the air. She went down to the ground locking her eyes towards Lily.
Following her was the son of the dwarven chief, whose mana quality was impressive but held back by Tier 2 potency. This was typical for dwarves, as their focus lay in crafting magical weapons rather than direct combat.
Finally, the crowd's attention turned to the last two candidates, Ririna Richards and Ray, the last two candidates.
Ririna, daughter of the Merchant King, was the first to step forward. Her results were equally impressive:
"Mana Quality: Pristine. Mana Quantity: Tier 3. Tri-Element Deviants."
The murmurs of admiration continued, even though Tatus Richards was not a Saint powerhouse himself, but he commands two Archmages, a Saint swordsman and an Assassin King while his wife being a Archmage herself and the younger Sister of Dravis Dragonborne. Ririna went and joined Lily and Henry, as she hugged Lily happily.
Well, only one candidate remained, many of them paid no attention and went on with their preparation for the next test. Only people with keen sight looked forward, like Lily, Henry, Princess, Xavier and Myra herself. Ririna asked,
"I don't feel particularly interested on the last candidate, why are you guys watching him like that?". to the twins. Lily replied,
"You'll see Riri, just watch".
Ray, started walking before he was called, his lack of visible pressure made him seem unimpressive.
"That guy doesn't even have a drop of pressure around him," someone muttered in the crowd.
"What kind of warrior is he?"
Ray ignored the voices, his hood still concealing his features. Myra, her curiosity piqued, called out,
"Ray, come up to the stage."
The moment he stepped into the spotlight, the air seemed to shift. Something unspoken, something unknown, began to ripple through the space. And then, all hell broke loose.
Luna though teased him saying,
[Such a show-off].
