Chapter 210 - Chapter 210: This Wizard Is Weak but Reckless Beyond Measure

Fifteen hundred loops, over four years.

Adding in the first cycle, William had spent nearly seven years at Hogwarts, attending school for about nine years total.

To put that in perspective, even Professor Snape had only been teaching at Hogwarts for twelve years.

William had already become the longest-tenured student at Hogwarts, breaking and continuously setting numerous records.

Of course, if Hogwarts had internet and smartphones, William figured he could stay another four years easily. He even thought Hogwarts needed reform; when he became Headmaster, setting up Wi-Fi was going to be his first priority.

Call it aligning with global standards.

During this time loop, William had learned an exceptional amount, from ancient runes to alchemy, making significant progress in both.

He had enjoyed himself immensely but was also exhausted, so he decided it was time to leave.

One morning, William woke up, dressed, and headed toward the Gryffindor common room.

He planned to have George take his place in a match while he waited in the common room for Harry to appear, intending to follow him to the Forbidden Corridor.

"Pig snout!" William recited the password.

The Fat Lady eyed him suspiciously and grumbled, "Why is a Ravenclaw student coming to the Gryffindor common room?"

"Because I love Gryffindor! Our house only has a boring door knocker, but you, Madam, bring such elegance to this place," William replied with a smile.

The Fat Lady giggled, throwing him a glance as she swung the portrait open.

"If only all Gryffindor students were as charming as you. They're so rude, not gentlemanly at all."

William laughed. "I'm not being sweet; I'm just speaking the truth. Haven't you heard my nickname, 'The Honest and Reliable Young Master'?"

The Fat Lady batted her eyelashes again, seriously considering a permanent transfer to the Ravenclaw tower.

William slipped through the opening.

As long as you had the password, the Fat Lady would open the door, though she always made it difficult for students from other houses.

William knew exactly how to get her to cooperate quickly—by showering her with shameless flattery. Just don't ever compliment her singing voice.

Once, he'd made that mistake, and she'd pestered him with her singing for half an hour.

Inside the Gryffindor common room, William entered the twins' dormitory, where Fred and George were still asleep.

Though identical in appearance, their sleeping habits were vastly different.

George's bed was cluttered with alchemical items and stacks of order forms, while Fred's was relatively tidy—except for his sprawled position, with his underwear halfway off.

Or halfway on, depending on your perspective.

Even the Niffler was asleep, its tail and hind legs poking out of Fred's underwear, its head buried within....

William woke the twins and explained his plan.

They were happy to help, with George enthusiastically agreeing to take his place in the Quidditch match.

After preparing everything, William stayed in the Gryffindor common room, waiting for Harry to emerge. He needed to figure out why Harry was suddenly heading to the Forbidden Corridor on the fourth floor.

About ten minutes later, Hermione came out with her roommates, heading to the Great Hall for breakfast.

Half an hour later, Harry and Ron finally appeared, leaving their dormitory.

William, concealed under a Disillusionment Charm, followed them closely.

As they walked down the hallway, William glanced at a corner and noticed Malfoy standing there, staring at Harry with a dazed expression.

"Who do you think will win?" Ron asked as they left the Gryffindor tower.

"It's hard to say. Ravenclaw's team isn't great, but William is incredibly strong. Plus, Cho is a skilled player. Ravenclaw has a good chance at winning," Harry analyzed from a professional point of view..

"Yeah, I hope Ravenclaw crushes Slytherin…"

Ron hesitated for a moment before asking, "Harry, do you think I have a chance at making the Quidditch team next year?"

Harry scratched his head, not wanting to discourage his friend, but knowing Ron's skills, he had a better chance of warming the bench—or, more accurately, watching the water bottles.

Gryffindor's current team was on the rise. Though they likely wouldn't win the championship this year, even Captain Wood was optimistic about the future as long as the team kept improving.

Ron's best shot was as a Keeper, but his performance was inconsistent, and with Wood still in his fifth year, Ron's prospects were grim.

Seeing Harry's expression, Ron sighed.

"Alright, I get it. I won't make the starting lineup, but surely they'll need some substitutes, right? Even waving towels on the sidelines would be fine…"

Before Ron could finish, a cold chill ran down his spine, the unmistakable sensation of a ghost nearby.

"Is that Nearly Headless Nick behind me again?"

Turning around, he nearly jumped out of his skin, it was Quirrell!

William raised an eyebrow. He'd nearly forgotten about Quirrell.

Quirrell drifted toward Harry, trembling as he spoke. "Harry… go to the fourth-floor Forbidden Corridor… The Dark Lord… He plans to steal the Philosopher's Stone during the match… I tried to stop him and was killed… You must hurry before it's too late!"

With that, Quirrell floated off into the air.

Harry seemed deep in thought.

"You can't seriously believe Quirrell's nonsense, can you?" Ron exclaimed incredulously.

"Don't forget, during the Quidditch match, he cursed your broom and tried to kill you!"

"But what if he's telling the truth?" Harry said seriously, "That's the Philosopher's Stone we're talking about. If Voldemort gets it, he'll return…"

Ron shuddered but adamantly opposed, "Quirrell died in the Forbidden Corridor! Do you really think we can get past the obstacles to stop You-Know-Who?"

"We could tell Professor Dumbledore," Harry suggested.

But William knew Dumbledore wasn't at Hogwarts. He'd received a letter that morning—one fabricated to lure him away to the Ministry of Magic.

Afterward, Harry and Ron encountered Professor McGonagall, who scolded them and left to watch the Quidditch match herself.

With no other options, Harry and Ron also headed to the match.

Watching the players take to the sky, Harry couldn't hold back any longer.

"I'm going to stop Voldemort," he declared, pale-faced but determined.

"You're crazy!" Ron said, "You can't do that!"

"You'll get expelled! Professor McGonagall warned you," Hermione added.

"So what?" Harry retorted angrily, "Don't you understand? If Voldemort gets the Philosopher's Stone, he'll regain his power!

"I have to stop him!"

Harry eventually convinced Ron and Hermione. The three of them quietly left the Gryffindor stands and headed straight for the fourth-floor Forbidden Corridor.

Watching their retreating figures, William was at a loss for words.

No wonder Harry kept dying.

This wizard was clearly weak but reckless beyond belief.

Was this Dumbledore's plan all along? To cultivate Harry's courage or something?!
