"Hokage, this..."

Uzuki Yugao never expected that the sacrifice Hokage referred to would be this!

She initially believed she would be asked to "shed blood, sweat, and tears" in an enemy village—something she was prepared for and wouldn't hesitate to do. However, the reality was that her task required her to "shed blood, sweat, and tears" in a far more personal setting... in bed.

She was a ninja with a boyfriend, Moonlight Hayate, and this mission demanded she marry Haruto, a member of the Uchiha clan. What would Moonlight Hayate think if she went through with this?

As a ninja, one of the most critical aspects of a mission, especially an S-ranked mission like this, is maintaining strict confidentiality. She couldn't just tell Hayate that her marriage to Haruto was for the sake of the mission. That would be a breach of the mission's secrecy and could spell failure for the entire operation.

But on the other hand, if she didn't tell Hayate, her relationship with him would be in danger of crumbling. Uzuki Yugao found herself at a crossroads, torn between the weight of duty and the pull of love.

On one side was the mission, a vital task for the safety of the village, and on the other was her genuine, heartfelt love for Moonlight Hayate.

As a shinobi, following orders was her duty. But as a woman, love held no less importance in her heart.

Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen could see the struggle in Yugao's eyes, the conflict tearing her apart.

"Yugao, you've witnessed the influence Haruto of the Uchiha clan has been asserting lately. His power is growing too ostentatious. The Uchihas who awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan tend to have unstable personalities. I fear he may do something to harm the village. After considering this matter carefully, I believe you are the most suitable candidate for this mission."

"But Hokage-sama, I..."

"You've been under my command in the Anbu for years, Yugao. You're one of my most trusted subordinates. For the stability and prosperity of Konoha, sacrifices must be made, and I trust you to carry out this mission."

"But this sacrifice is too..."

"From the day you chose the path of a ninja, you should have known that the village's safety and well-being come first, even at the cost of your reputation or personal life. We are shinobi. We do not fear death, so why should we fear lesser sacrifices? I hope you can understand that."

Uzuki Yugao fell silent, the weight of the mission pressing down on her shoulders. After a long pause, she finally nodded and accepted her role.

"Very well," Sarutobi continued. "Go back and prepare yourself. Don't approach Haruto directly for this—choose your moment wisely. Find the right opportunity to appear by his side. With your beauty and grace, I am confident he will initiate contact with you."

"Yes, Hokage-sama. I understand."

"Good. Now, go. And before you leave, stop by the police department and ask Furukawa Morino to come see me. I have matters to discuss with him."

"Understood, Hokage-sama."

The next day dawned bright and early.

Haruto rose from his bed, ready for the day ahead. Today, he would officially take over leadership of the Konoha Police Department. It was a significant milestone for him, one that marked his rising status in the village.

As he was getting dressed, a playful voice interrupted him.

"Haruto, you're putting your pants on so early in the morning? That's not like you."

The voice belonged to Mitarashi Anko, his wife, who was still lounging in bed. She had given birth to their son, an extraordinary child of SS-level potential, only a little over a month ago.

Haruto smiled, amused by her teasing. "I've got to head to the police department today. Want to come with me?"

Anko pouted playfully, her signature mischievous look appearing on her face. "Nah, I'm staying here."

Haruto chuckled and leaned down, gently pinching her cheek. "You should rest more. You didn't sleep much last night."

"I can't sleep unless you're right beside me," she said in a teasing tone. As soon as she finished speaking, she wrapped herself around him, much like a snake coiling around its prey.

"Anko, stop, I'm trying to put on my coat..."

She grinned devilishly. "Heh, once the snake has you in its grip, there's no escaping~!"

---

Later that day, at the Konoha Police Department, Haruto was met with a mix of anticipation and suspicion. His sudden rise to power, coupled with his possession of the Mangekyō Sharingan, had sparked whispers of fear and doubt among both his fellow shinobi and the village leadership.

Nevertheless, Haruto strode through the halls with confidence. This was the beginning of his new position, and he would ensure that his influence grew even further. He would reshape the Uchiha's role in the village and solidify their place in Konoha's hierarchy.

As he walked, his thoughts turned to the task ahead. He knew he had a reputation for being powerful, and many saw him as a potential threat. But that was of no concern to him. His primary focus was strengthening the Uchiha clan and securing a future for them.

Meanwhile, Uzuki Yugao spent her day deep in thought, the weight of her decision bearing down on her. She couldn't escape the guilt gnawing at her heart. Every thought of her mission only reminded her of Hayate.

How would he react if he ever found out?

Could she truly keep this secret from him for the rest of their lives? Their love had always been based on trust, but now she was forced to choose between him and her duty to the village. The thought was unbearable.

But the village's safety came first. That had been drilled into her ever since she first became a shinobi. The lives of the many outweighed the lives of the few, and personal sacrifices had to be made for the greater good.

Taking a deep breath, Yugao resolved herself. She would carry out the mission as instructed. She had to.

---

Back at the police department, Furukawa Morino received a summons from the Hokage. Intrigued but wary, he made his way to Hokage's office. As the head of the police department, he had always been wary of the Uchiha's growing influence. Haruto's takeover made him especially cautious, as he knew that any wrong move could put the village at risk.

When he entered the office, Sarutobi Hiruzen was waiting.

"Furukawa," the Hokage began, "I have an important matter to discuss with you regarding the Uchiha clan."

Furukawa nodded, listening intently as the Hokage laid out his concerns and the plan he had in mind.

The stability of the village was at stake, and it seemed that sacrifices were not only being demanded from Uzuki Yugao but from every corner of Konoha as they navigated the growing power of the Uchiha.

---

As Uzuki Yugao prepared herself for the mission ahead, she knew that her life would never be the same. The decision she had made would haunt her, but as a ninja, she had been trained to put her emotions aside and focus on the task at hand.

For the sake of the village, for the safety of Konoha, she would do what was necessary.

No matter the personal cost.
