Danzo's words lingered in Hiruzen's mind.
It was difficult for him to make a decision. Allowing Haruto to continue unchecked would indeed be unfair to the many bachelors who had protested. But at the same time, Hiruzen was reluctant to interrupt the "Uchiha baby-making machine."
In just a year, Haruto could produce a new generation of little Uchihas.
The radical ideals of the Uchiha clan had diminished, and with proper training, Hiruzen was confident that these young Uchihas could be just as loyal to Konoha as members of any other clan.
After pondering for a while, Hiruzen sighed softly, "Alright, for now, I'll agree with your plan. I can suppress these protests from the bachelors for about six months. But, what happens if Haruto exhausts himself and dies within that time?"
Danzo sneered, "Don't worry. I'll take care of it. You don't need to concern yourself."
Hiruzen nodded, silent in thought.
"If that's all, I'll take my leave," Danzo said as he rose and walked out of the Hokage's office. He had someone important to meet that night.

**Late Night at Konoha's Root Base**
Two figures in black robes appeared in the lobby of the Root Organization's base. Seated in the main chair was Danzo, who slightly opened his eyes and spoke, "You've finally arrived, Orochimaru."
Orochimaru grinned wickedly. "Heh... Danzo, long time no see. How have you been?"
Danzo waved his hand dismissively. "Let's skip the pleasantries. Did you bring what I asked for?"
Orochimaru pulled out a scroll from within his robes. "It's all in here."
Danzo's eyes gleamed as he motioned to one of his men. The man immediately appeared beside Orochimaru and took the scroll.
"Release it!" Danzo commanded.
With a puff of smoke, a grotesque arm emerged, lined with ten Sharingan eyes. To make it even more disturbing, the deltoid muscle bore a face resembling the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama.
Though outwardly composed, Danzo was overjoyed. This arm would elevate his power immensely—perhaps even surpassing that of Hiruzen, his long-time rival.
Orochimaru stepped forward with his companion, who also wore a black robe, and spoke, "Danzo, don't get too excited. Time is of the essence. While Hashirama's cells can keep the Sharingan eyes active, I suggest you undergo the transplant right away."
Danzo removed his coat. "You're the best at this kind of thing. Do the surgery now."
Orochimaru chuckled, licking his lips. "Tsk, tsk... I didn't think you trusted me this much. Aren't you afraid I might kill you during the operation?"
Danzo scoffed. "I know you won't. This is my domain, and if anything happens to me, these elite guards won't let you leave. Besides, you have no reason to kill me."
At that moment, dozens of masked Root operatives appeared, surrounding them.
Orochimaru flashed a sly grin. "No need for concern. It was just a joke. I wouldn't harm you. After all, our collaboration isn't over. Isn't that right, Danzo?"
Turning to his companion, Orochimaru commanded, "You handle the surgery."
"Understood, Lord Orochimaru," replied the man in the black robe, revealing himself to be none other than Kabuto Yakushi.
Danzo was slightly surprised. "You… You're Kabuto Yakushi?"
Kabuto grinned. "Ah, I see you still remember me, Danzo-sama."
Though Kabuto feigned respect, a flash of murderous intent briefly flickered in his eyes, hidden deep within.
He resented Danzo with a passion. Years ago, during the Third Shinobi War, Kabuto had suffered a head injury that erased all his memories. Lost and alone, he didn't even remember his own name. But fate led him to meet Nonou, the kind-hearted head of an orphanage, who nursed him back to health and gave him a new identity. Under her care, Kabuto found a purpose, excelling in medical ninjutsu. Life seemed peaceful—until Danzo showed up.
Danzo, accompanied by Orochimaru and Aburame Shikuro, visited Nonou, a former elite intelligence officer of the Root Organization, demanding that she infiltrate Iwagakure for Konoha. Nonou, reluctant to return to such a life, was coerced through Danzo's threats. Worse, Danzo demanded one of the orphans from her care be given to him as a spy—Kabuto volunteered.
But Danzo had no intention of letting either of them live. He manipulated circumstances, forcing Kabuto and Nonou into a situation where Kabuto accidentally killed her—the woman who had given him a new life. Devastated, Kabuto spiraled, feeling abandoned by the one person who had meant the world to him.
It was Orochimaru who showed him the truth, and since then, Kabuto had followed him loyally. But now, facing Danzo, his hatred simmered beneath the surface.
Danzo's gaze was cold. "I didn't expect you to survive. Orochimaru, you've picked a talented one. I assume you didn't bring him here just to perform a simple surgery?"
Orochimaru's smile widened. "Indeed. I'd like you to place him in Konoha as a Genin, allowing him to participate in future Chunin Exams. Don't worry—he'll fail them on purpose."
Danzo raised an eyebrow. "And your motive?"
Orochimaru shrugged. "He's there to gather information. The Chunin Exams always bring the best and brightest from other villages. The more we know about them, the better for us."
Danzo, surprisingly, agreed quickly. "Fine. I'll arrange it."
With that, Orochimaru smirked and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Kabuto's medical skills, enhanced by Hashirama's cells, allowed the surgery to be completed in under half an hour. Danzo flexed his new arm, satisfied. "It fits perfectly."
Kabuto bowed. "I'm glad to hear it."
Danzo nodded. "From tomorrow, you'll officially be a Genin under my command. I'll ensure you participate in every Chunin Exam."
"Thank you, Danzo-sama," Kabuto replied, before quietly leaving.
Once Kabuto had departed, one of Danzo's attendants leaned in and whispered, "Lord Danzo, Orochimaru has clearly planted his agent in Konoha. Should we eliminate him?"
Danzo shook his head. "No, he stays. Orochimaru's hatred is directed at Hiruzen, not me. If anything happens, it will only benefit me, regardless of who wins between them."
Danzo looked down at his newly grafted arm, smiling. "Now, fetch me a metal arm guard. No one must know of this secret—Hashirama's cells and these Sharingan eyes are mine alone."
"Yes, my lord."
And with that, Danzo continued to admire the power he had just gained.
