Adele's POV
Ever since I set my eyes on Khloe back at the Allerick's mansion, I haven't been able to get her face off my head.
Seeing her there was a huge surprise to me and as if that was not enough, instead of looking like someone who was suffering, she looked perfectly fine, like she had been living in riches.
How is that even possible? — This question popped into my head several times but I didn't have an answer for it.
After she deceived my parents and Tyler Greene to escape from their hold, I was expecting to see her begging on the street but that wasn't the case.
"I think there is something going on between those two." I muttered, pushing my hair off my face.
"Is that why you hit her?" Lance yelled back, causing me to turn towards him at once.
For a moment, I didn't say a word as I kept staring with my lips slightly parted.
These days, Lance had been acting strange but I never made a fuss of it up until now.
