-The next day-
Madow is called back to school for the last stage of admission, the entrance examination interview. On his way through the halls of Irohe, he sees Isaac walking, or rather, floating out of the teacher's office, signaling that it's his turn.
He walks into the office. The teacher is waiting for him on the other side of a desk, waving his hand and telling Madow to sit in the chair in front of him. The teacher is a tired-looking man with white hair and red eyes.
"Welcome, I'm the hero known as Eraser King; you may call me Aizawa. Congratulations on having passed our exams. Now you'll have an interview to see if you fit with our school's values." As the man speaks, it can be seem that he has fangs.
"Thank you for the opportunity."
"You're welcome. To start off, let's have a simple question. Feel free to answer how you'd like. To you, what is a hero?"
"Heroes are a bunch of greedy, egocentric, narcissistic douchebags who only pretend to be nice so they can get rich and famous." He sighs. "But that's not how it should be, a hero should be a person who saves everyone. Regardless if it's someone they don't like, or if no one will even know."
"Hm.. And what made you have this view of heroes?"
"I'm from Yokohama, as you should know, we don't get many heroes over there. The Shoryuu just pretend to keep the peace, and as long as villains stay out of the nice parts of town, no one cares enough to call them out."
Madow is getting visibly agitated but keeps talking. "I only ever met a single hero over there. While I was defending myself from some bullies, they beat the shit out of me, and then boasted to the cameras about it."
"I'm very sorry to hear that. If you wish, we could launch an investigation into the hero who did that to you." He says, his tired look changing into one of genuine concern.
"Don't bother, it's not like anyone would believe it anyway. Can we just continue with the interview?"
"Well. What are your objectives in becoming a hero?"
"I want to clean up my city and help as many people as I can. To be a true hero."
He asks a few more questions, but nothing of note.
"Well, I can see you have good convictions and motivation to help your home. Irohe will be happy to have you as a student." He says while thinking. 'He has justifiable reasons to hate heroes. I should look further into that hero.'
"Much obliged." He leaves the room and heads home. Barely believing he was going to become a hero, something he hated so much. And thinking about how proud that would have made his father.
