At the peak of dusk, with the night sky hung so abundantly with shining stars, for once the bustling city felt as though it was asleep.
Bastian's beath emitted as a soft mist in the brisk temperature, looking up at the primordial structure that reached into the clouds. An uneasiness swirled in his stomach, telling him to "go back", though that very feeling is what urged him to continue forward.
It wasn't by pure coincidence that it felt so isolated; he heard of it beforehand, but seeing it put into action was different entirely: Yggdrasil was off limits until the secretive mission was over.
"This is real,"--that was the thought surfacing in his mind, looking upon the primordial structure veiled in the night.
