After the duel, it was finally the next day; the day when Kyle's training would begin. A warrior had come to collect him from his room while handing him a pair of trousers and a shirt they were both black in colour with a symbol on the shirt.
The symbol was that of a fist which Kyle had come to know it as the symbol of the sect. After he was dressed, he was escorted by the warrior down the long hall, they made a few turns here and there.
And then finally, they stood in front of a door and Kyle could hear grunts as if people were training intensely.
"This is where you will be training for 6 months to become a full fledged warrior. So do well and not disgrace captain Brandon." The warrior said as he led Kyle inside the door.
Opening the door, Kyle could see people of different gender, shapes and sizes wearing the same outfit he was wearing and they were performing a set of skills intensely with full concentration.
The man in front of them looked up at the door and could see the warrior standing with Kyle.
"I'm here to deliver the new recruit." The warrior said and soon, he left the room.
The room was wide enough to fit about five hundred individuals in it and currently, there were only three hundred people training.
Two hundred of the recruits were in front of the man going through the skills and techniques he was showing them while the remaining hundred individuals were standing away from the 200 hundred individuals performing a set of physical activity.
"Name?" The man asked.
"Kyle." Kyle said out loud.
"What did you get on your strength and speed test?" The man asked again and now, everybody's focus in the room was on Kyle.
"5. I got 5 on the strength test as well as the speed test." Kyle replied.
"pfft. Pathetic. So weak." That was what the man said before he turned back to those in front of him.
"You can join those ones there in doing whatever you are told to do." The man said pointing towards the hundred students doing their physical exercise.
Kyle bowed a bit before he left to join the hundred individuals. Kyle stood at back while a young student was in front of them all showing them how to use some machinery in the room to increase their strength.
"Alright, since Captain Clark put me in charge, so you all have to listen attentively." The young student said and everyone were listening in intently.
"Good." The young student continued. "For those of you just joining us recently, let me introduce myself, my name is Digg and in order for you to know, I'm only a week left in becoming a full fledged warrior."
Everyone in the room knew that was a big deal because even though your 6 months were complete, and you didn't show a certain level of strength, you can't become a full fledged warrior.
When they were to be recruited, their strength level was supposed to be 10 and so was their speed. And to become a warrior, they needed to get their strength to level 30 and hearing that this young student in front of them all, was so close to getting it.
They found it easier to listen and adhere to his instructions.
"Now that I got your attention, I need to inform you that for two weeks, we are going to be focusing on physical training. We need to get your strength to a certain level before you can all learn any techniques." Digg explained.
"So, let's get started. I want you all to give me a hundred push ups now!" Digg shouted and immediately, they all got on the floor.
The room was wide enough for them all to do their thing without getting in anybody's way.
Kyle had gotten in position and he started the push up but he found it harder to do because of how weak his body was.
'Darn it! I never bothered to register for a gym membership back on Earth because I was so busy with work that I didn't have time for any of this.' Kyle thought as he was just finishing his 5th push up.
After a few minutes, everyone were now done with their push ups including Kyle who was now feeling pains in his arms and was sweating buckets.
But it was all worth it because Kyle just heard a ding in his head.
{Ding!}
{Part of the quest for today has been completed. Rewards: +1 in strength attribute.}
Kyle smiled at this. 'I saw how that captain looked at me when I told him my attribute level including some of the students. But with this system, I will get strong enough and surpass everyone here.'
Kyle thought as he opened up his system to check his status.
{Status}
{Name: Damon Raymond}
{Level: 2}
{XP: 200/300}
{HP: 100/100}
{Strength: 6}
{Agility: 5}
{Intelligence: 50}
"Well the system was true to its words." Kyle mumbled while trying hard to wipe the grin off his face.
'Although, I did a hundred push ups, it didn't register in the system. I guess I can't try to cheat the system by doing more than what it asked me to.' Kyle thought as he was listening in on Digg's second instructions.
"Next, I'm gonna need each and every one of you to perform 50 squats for me in 5 minutes." Digg said.
Which caused almost all of them to mumble in complain about the ridiculous instruction of doing 50 squats in 5 minutes but there was someone among them that was happy to do it and he had gotten a head start.
That person was Kyle who didn't complain about the instruction, instead he got down to it.
"You see, that is a trait a good warrior should have." Digg said looking at Kyle.
"You don't complain when you are asked to do something by a superior. You do it. Now for complaining, I'm gonna increase for all that complained except him." Digg said pointing to Kyle who just finished his 20th squat.
"Now I want 60 squats in 5 minutes from you all." Digg said and immediately, they all got down to it but
some of them had a form of resentment towards Kyle and they couldn't wait to make him pay.
