As Kael turned to leave, Min Ju sprang up from her seat, her eyes blazing with a mix of defiance and curiosity. "Why are you so mad at me, huh?" she asked, her voice low and husky, with a hint of challenge.
"I didn't know it was because I was being followed—it's not like you're my type," She added, lowering her voice as she made that statement.
Kael arched his brows and let out a throaty chuckle, his lips curving into a daring smirk, as his gaze peered into hers.
She averted her gaze, fiddling with the delicate folds of her gown.
"W—What, why are you staring at me?" Min Ju stuttered, her eyes darting everywhere but his face. Kael's lips curved up further, his smirk deepening as he began to approach her. His movements were fluid and deliberate, his long strides eating up the distance between them.
