Magic.
A concept that anyone who hadn't experienced, would term fictional. Back on earth, I watched magic shows as a kid; coin tricks, close up magic, stage illusions and so on. Each one as much thrilling as the other, and at that time, it was all so complex that I couldn't wrap my head around it.
But as I grew older, it became less of a mystery to me, each trick and play not as endearing as it should've been.
It became easier to understand that magic was not a concept man could manipulate, because magic simply didn't exist. It was a factor of entertainment, a spectacle meant to appease our imagination.
But here I was now, flesh and blood, staring at the bright flare bursting forth from my finger tips, illuminating everything around me and at the same time, keeping my gaze locked on it.
I had it all wrong.
