Chapter 161: Turning the Page
The morning sunlight spilled into the room.
It was a beautiful day, for the first time in years for Callian.
He sat at the dining table, sipping his coffee, reading the bold headline of the day's newspaper:
-Mita Anand Found Dead in Apparent Accident.-
The accompanying photograph showed the mangled remains of a luxury car at the bottom of a steep ravine.
The article described how the accident occurred late last night, with Mita's car veering off a winding road.
Authorities were investigating, but so far, it was being treated as an unfortunate accident.
Callian's lips curved into a subtle smile as he set the newspaper down.
The woman who had caused so much pressure and pain was gone, her reign of terror was finally brought to an abrupt end.
Justice, it seemed, had finally found her, though not in the way anyone might have expected.
