Chapter 126
Eira stirred awake as the faint smell of porridge wafted through her small apartment.
She blinked, and turned around to see Sana, who was standing over her with a blanket draped over one arm.
"You fell asleep on the floor again," Sana said, shaking her head.
Eira rubbed her eyes, her fingers brushed her laptop.
"I wasn't planning to sleep. I just closed my eyes after sending an email."
Sana rolled her eyes. "And ended up snoring."
"I don't snore," Eira replied, grinning as she sat up.
"Sure, you don't," Sana said sarcastically as she placed a steaming bowl of porridge and a cup of tea on the table.
"Now, eat. And for the love of everything, sleep in your bed next time."
Eira took the bowl gratefully, the warm steam fogging her glasses. "You're too good to me."
"Someone has to be." Sana sat across from her, watching Eira dig into the porridge.
