Chapter 124: No More Alliances!
Sitting on the edge of her couch, staring at Elias with a slightly open mouth, Eira was shaking her head.
The worn photo he handed her shook slightly in her trembling hands.
It was old and yellowed with time, but the image was unmistakable.
A younger version of Marion cradled two children—an infant Eira and a little boy with dark hair and blue eyes.
Elias' eyes.
"You expect me to believe this?" Eira whispered. "You show up now? With this? After everything?"
Elias leaned forward, calm but insistent.
"I've waited for the right moment, Eira. If I came to you earlier, you wouldn't have believed me. You were under Callian's shadow, just like the rest of them."
Her eyes darted back to the photo before throwing it onto the coffee table.
"And I'm supposed to believe you now? After everyone in my life has lied to me? Betrayed me?"
Elias didn't flinch.
