The early morning sunlight streamed through the curtains as Eira sat at the dining table with a cup of tea in her hands.

"Still reading that?" Callian's voice broke through her thoughts.
She looked up, startled, to see him walking into the room, already dressed for the day.
He glanced at the newspaper and frowned.
