Chapter 103: Mike Selling Information To Callian
Mike leaned against the hood of his car, his phone pressed to his ear.
He smirked as the line connected. "Mr. Reed, it's Mike. I've got something you'll want to hear."
Callian's voice was calm but sharp on the other end. "And what exactly would that be?"
"Let's just say Henry Blackwood's obsession is reaching new levels. He's hell-bent on destroying anyone who's ever been close to Eira. It's personal for him. He's unraveling," Mike said, glancing at the Blackwood mansion in the distance.
Callian paused, his tone turned colder. "Why are you telling me this just now? Do you work for me or for him?"
Mike chuckled lightly. "I work for the highest bidder, Mr. Reed. Loyalty isn't part of the contract. Besides, Henry's obsession is bad for business. And I figured you might want a chance to get ahead of it."
Callian's silence was long, calculating. "What's your angle?"
