"Master, we've just received news of the Demon Piccolo Jr.'s whereabouts in a mountain village in the south, but he escaped before our team could reach him."
After giving the report to Yuujin, Princess Snake handed him several photos.
These photos were captured by the private satellite of the Dragon Ball Corporation, showing an ominous child standing in front of a village in flames and ruins.
It was indeed the Demon Piccolo Jr., left behind by King Piccolo before his death!
"Master, that Demon Piccolo Jr. is an unstable element. Should we continue pursuing him?"
Princess Snake asked, but Yuujin casually tossed the photos into a nearby trash can.
"No need. The existence of the Dragon balls still requires him. As long as he doesn't cause serious trouble, let him be."
With Yuujin's current resources and power, he could easily track down and eliminate Piccolo Jr., even if he hid at the world's edges.
But as he said, the Dragon balls still needed Piccolo Jr. for now. Although he wasn't keen on relying on them, Yuujin understood that their power was still necessary, so now wasn't the time to remove him.
Besides, neither King Piccolo nor Piccolo Jr. were even worth Yuujin's attention. He could get rid of them anytime he wanted.
In fact, Yuujin, who had been invincible on Earth, was feeling a bit bored, so he left Piccolo Jr. to see if the child might bring him some unexpected entertainment in the future.
"Understood. I'll notify the Red Silk Squad members to pull back from the pursuit."
Naturally, Princess Snake had no doubts about her master's decision and nodded, heading out to contact the Red Silk Squad members who were tracking Piccolo Jr.
Just then, Mai, wearing a military uniform, entered from outside.
The usual attire for the Red Silk Squad was a vibrant red battle dress, but Mai, along with Hasky and Violet, had the privilege of wearing their preferred outfits besides the standard uniform, as squad captains. Today, Mai was dressed in a crisp, professional military uniform.
Partly due to old habits and partly to cater to certain... unique preferences of her particular master.
"Master, King Kaiselukin has come to visit and wishes to present you with a World Peace Medal for saving the world."
Mai greeted Yuujin with a salute.
Yuujin hadn't yet responded when Bulma, nearby, let out a disdainful chuckle.
"Bad boy Yuujin is the god of Earth; what right does a mere king have to award him a medal?"
Though Bulma's words sounded haughty, they were true.
The gap between a mortal and a god was no mere difference of words!
But—
"Bulma, don't be so dismissive. At least it's a kind gesture. We might as well meet him."
Yuujin said with a gentle smile, brushing his hand against Bulma's cheek.
The king's arrival was actually timely—Yuujin had matters he wished to discuss with him.
…
"Apologies for the wait, Your Majesty."
Yuujin, along with Bulma and the others, entered the reception room, greeting the seated king.
"No, no, it is our honor to meet Lord Yuujin."
The king and his uniformed officers rose quickly, expressing humility.
While they were prominent figures in the human world, they were acutely aware of how little they amounted to before Yuujin, the all-powerful deity who saved the world.
"Your Majesty, may I ask the purpose of your visit?"
After a few Red Silk Girls members served tea, Yuujin invited the king and his officers to sit down.
"Lord Yuujin, we come on behalf of humanity to express our gratitude for defeating King Piccolo and saving Earth. You even used your divine power to resurrect those who perished, so we hope to present you with a medal symbolizing peace."
Watching Yuujin's reaction, the king spoke cautiously.
Truthfully, the king and his officers felt anxious. For mere mortals to present a god with a medal felt somewhat presumptuous. Yet, due to Yuujin's tremendous service to humanity, they felt compelled to answer the public's wishes.
But fortunately, their fears were unfounded.
"It would be my honor, Your Majesty."
Yuujin replied with a slight smile, prompting a sigh of relief among the king and his officers.
It was ideal that Lord Yuujin was willing to accept the medal.
With a hint of satisfaction, the king signaled the photographers to begin a broadcast. Under the watchful eyes of people worldwide, he presented the medal to Yuujin.
A speech followed the ceremony, filled with words of gratitude to Yuujin for saving the world, promises to rebuild the beautiful Earth, and so forth—typical lines the king was skilled in delivering. Naturally, Yuujin also shared a few words for the audience.
Although the present king was indeed a wise ruler with significant influence on Earth, his standing paled in comparison to that of Yuujin, the all-powerful god who saved the world.
After a day of activities, the ceremony concluded. The cameramen turned off the broadcast, and Yuujin and the king resumed their private discussion.
"Your Majesty, aside from presenting me with a medal, you must have other matters to discuss?"
Yuujin smiled, taking a sip of the fine tea.
He doubted the king had traveled all this way with his high-ranking officials merely to present a symbolic medal.
After a moment of visible hesitation, the king finally spoke up.
"Yes, Lord Yuujin, we do have additional matters to address."
"As leader of this nation and as humanity's king, I must ask, Lord Yuujin, how do you intend to deal with us humans in the future?"
His tone was the most serious it had been all day. Unlike the common people who only saw Yuujin as a godlike hero who saved the world and resurrected their loved ones, the king was a shrewd political leader who saw the broader implications.
Yuujin's powers, which could save and protect humanity, could just as easily destroy them.
Everything depended on his will.
Expecting such a question, Yuujin was not at all surprised. If he were in the king's position, he would have the same concerns—after all, even so-called gods weren't always trustworthy.
Yuujin had prepared his response.
"Your Majesty, I believe you misunderstand one thing. The existence of gods predates human history by far. Although unknown to you, gods have always silently protected this planet."
"Gods are generally prohibited from interfering with human development. The only reason I revealed myself was that King Piccolo threatened the safety of the entire world."
The king nodded, somewhat reassured, though he still had questions.
"If gods aren't supposed to interfere in human affairs, why did you establish the Dragon ball Corporation? Lord Yuujin, your Dragon ball Corporation…"
He trailed off, but everyone understood the implication.
Dragon ball Corporation had grown into a global enterprise influencing nearly every facet of Earth's development—perhaps more than any human authority.
Yuujin's gentle smile showed he was waiting for the king to bring this up.
"Your Majesty, this is precisely what I wished to discuss with you."
