Three days later, Yuujin and Goku were ready to set out for training.
Aside from a banana leaf fan and a few martial arts outfits stored in all-purpose capsules, they didn't bring much luggage.
"Master Roshi, please take care."
In front of Kame House, Yuujin and Goku were saying their farewells to Master Roshi.
"Oh, oh, oh… Though I'm an old man, I can still take care of myself just fine."
"After you leave, I'll return to my original island. If you come back, you can find me there."
Stroking his beard, Master Roshi said.
Yuujin nodded to show he understood.
After bidding farewell to the nearby sea turtle as well, Yuujin and Goku set off, jumping straight into the ocean.
"Goodbye, Sea Turtle, Grandpa Roshi!"
Swimming in the sea, Goku turned around and waved at the sea turtle and Master Roshi on the shore.
"Goku, remember to show me your little underwear when you grow up, we agreed."
"Never! Only Yuujin can see my underwear."
Master Roshi stood on the shore, watching Yuujin and Goku disappear into the sea, while the sea turtle looked at him with disdain.
...
Boom, boom, boom…
In the forest, a gigantic T-Rex was running, its strong body smashing through trees in its path. Everywhere it went, small animals scattered in fear.
It was undoubtedly a majestic predator, but for now, it was just a means of transportation for someone else.
"Hahaha…"
"Faster, even faster!"
Riding on the T-Rex's head, Goku laughed, urging it on.
The T-Rex, nearly exhausted, could only push itself harder under the little ancestor's orders.
After carrying them over several hills, a towering structure piercing the sky came into Yuujin and Goku's view.
"Yuujin, look! What is that? It's so tall!"
Goku blinked her bright eyes and pointed at the distant sight in awe.
"That is the legendary Korin Tower, our destination."
With a smile, Yuujin held Goku and stood up.
"Stop."
At Yuujin's command, the running T-Rex came to a halt, skidding a great distance and knocking down more trees.
"Yuujin, why did we stop?"
"Karin Mountain is sacred. It would be disrespectful to go there like this. We'll walk the rest of the way."
"Oh…"
Goku didn't understand what was sacred or not, but if Yuujin said it, it must be true; in her little mind, everything Yuujin said was always right.
With a light leap, Yuujin and Goku jumped off the T-Rex's head and landed steadily on the ground.
"Thank you, T-Rex. You can go now."
Yuujin patted the nearly exhausted T-Rex.
The T-Rex's spirit surged, and it almost roared to the sky in relief. Finally, the two little devils were letting it go!
Using all its remaining strength, it turned and ran away, wishing its mother had given it fewer legs to escape faster.
"Goodbye, Mr. T-Rex!"
Goku waved at the retreating T-Rex, which nearly tripped in its haste.
Goodbye? More like, hope to never see you again!
Ignoring the fleeing T-Rex, Yuujin and Goku resumed their journey.
Even though they could see the Korin Tower from here, it was still quite a distance away, but for them, it would only take about ten minutes.
Before long, Yuujin and Goku arrived at the base of the Korin Tower.
Though he had heard about it, seeing the tower up close left Yuujin in awe.
The tower wasn't large in diameter, but it shot straight up into the sky like a white pillar, disappearing into the heavens.
It was truly hard to believe what kind of being could create such a miracle!
Goku was also very excited, craning her neck to look up at the tower, though she couldn't see the top no matter how hard she tried.
At that moment, Yuujin and Goku seemed to notice something, and they both turned toward the nearby forest, where a tall figure emerged.
"Outsiders, do you wish to challenge the Korin Tower?"
...
At the base of the Korin Tower, a man handed bowls of prepared food to Goku and Yuujin.
"Here you go."
"Thank you."
"Mmm… Delicious."
The man's name was Bora. He looked like a Native American, with facial markings and a strong physique.
According to his own introduction, his family had guarded the tower for generations.
"This is my son, Upa."
Bora introduced the baby in his arms to Yuujin and Goku.
"Upa, huh? He'll grow up to be a great warrior like you."
Yuujin said after tasting some of the food.
"Thank you."
Bora smiled warmly, looking lovingly at his sleeping child.
"Yuujin, Sun Goku, do you truly wish to challenge the Korin Tower?"
Bora asked.
"Yes, we want to meet the sage at the top and seek his guidance."
"Have many people tried to challenge the tower before?"
Yuujin asked with a nod.
"Many, but they all failed. Some gave up, while others fell due to lack of food after days of climbing."
"I've never seen challengers as young as you."
Bora looked at Yuujin and Goku seriously.
He had attempted to climb the sacred tower in his youth but failed, so he knew very well how difficult it was.
"Don't underestimate us just because we're young. We're pretty strong, and climbing this tower shouldn't be a problem."
Yuujin said with a confident smile.
Although he hadn't tried, Yuujin believed he could reach the top!
"Though hard to believe, I feel you're not lying."
"It's already late. You can rest here tonight and start the challenge tomorrow morning."
Bora said, looking Yuujin in the eye.
"Thank you for the hospitality."
"It's no trouble. Hosting brave challengers is part of our duty."
"Mmm… Another bowl, please!"
To be continued...
